Alexa's Been Listening In

So I have an Alexa device or two (Echo's) and listen to music all day when working. I am not upgraded to the 47 million song Amazon Music, just have the free service, about 4 million.

I used to get several hours before it stopped, so, I say, play kitaro or Enya, several hours later it stopped. So I say, play Enya, again and Alexa says, sorry, Amazon music stopped because there has been no activity on this device for several hours and then says, shuffling songs by Enya..and off it went again.

After a few weeks of this it started to shorten the play time. Now, about an hour and a bits worth. It still said the line about no activity for several hours. So I began to swear at it and say..several hours...yeah right etc.

Just this afternoon, it stopped again and I asked it to play music. It just said..shuffling songs etc. No: sorry, Amazon Music stopped etc.

I think Amazon were listening to my annoyed swearing and modified it. After all, it was lying through it's teeth.

Any funny experiences with your personal assistant device?

Not me. If there's ever a problem with my audio set-up, a sharp blow or two on the stylus normally does the trick.

That's probably why Amazon shortened my play time. They have to periodically remove fluff from the needle in their giant warehouse sized Jukebox.

The BBC had that problem when they tried to call it a day on Alan Freeman's Saturday afternoon radio show.

I find this helps with most things.

Hey, but I know you mean 'blow' rather than 'blow'.

So have you tried stylus sticks?

I believe they are more accurate than a blunt instrooment.

Which kinda whooshies us sweet back round to Alexa, I guess.

I do naht permit that vampire past my threshold!

When I yogahin' out round my pal Amy's, our gently exhaled releases frequently prompt spontaneous interruption.

Well, maybe you just can try to download music from amazon with the help of Tunelf Amatune Music Converter to your computer, and then transfer them to a USB. Then you can freely enjoy the offline streaming of amazon music with your Alexa.

As it's a free version, they will constantly reduce available time of playing in order to motivate you to subscribe on upgraded version, this is how it works
I'm just using Spotify and enjoy it a loooot
