You know you're REALLY bored when you pop back into this forum after God knows how many years away. That's the kind of year it's been. Nothing to do with this stupid virus.

Anyway, HELLOOOOOO Warrior Forum.

See you in another 5 or 6 years.

You must have missed not continuing with that classic argument we had a number of years back about the relative merits of music. Look at popular music now, absolute crap. Something we probably both agree on.

    Stay safe, it will pass.

Funnily enough I was reviewing some old TOPT (Top Of The Pops) shows from the UK that showcased the top 20/30 from the early 60's onwards up till the 90's. You are right, there was a lot of crap songs. However, these shows always had a sprinkle of good ones.

This is something no longer evident. There are no good ones anymore.

A couple of years ago, Paul McCartney released another solo album called "New" He had not released anything for a number of years before that and obviously he had written a stack of songs that were 90% musically good, were diverse and interesting arrangements.

Despite this album doing ok, it did not do great. The songs were as good (if not better) as anything he had released in his early solo efforts and for the most if any one had been released as a single, it would be a hit. But, only back in the day.

This lead me to the conclusion that only the oldsters and long time fans actually appreciated the songs for what they were, good, melodic "tunes", but the kids of today are just not recognizing and appreciating that fact anymore. It seems they have been brainwashed into only liking the current formulaic dirge that is around today, musically on planet zero.

        That I find really sad.

    Thanks for the reminder.

You were (and are) my favorite HOW NOT TO DO IT story on the WF.

Work hard, ignore good advice, be stubborn, bullheaded even...reach YOUR mountain top, sell a HOW TO WSO, get slapped down by Google...tumble down to the valley, moan, groan, and blame.

Then come back after 3 years to remind us. THANKS, it is appreciated, I can now once again use your cautionary story for newer Warriors.

If nothing else, you did (are) serve as a bad example.

    GordonJ

PS I can hear your music, along with the low moaning of others, on the pennywhistle coming from Desolation Row.

My definition of boredom is when you're an introvert, but you can't sit at home and go for a walk in the forest.

Aw, see, cos I was really stuck for my next life-enhancin' project.

But now ima camp out next to my monitah an' await your return.

I got snack bars, clean panties, raspberry flavah shakes ... evrythin' I need to max out on what I hope will be the ultimate Psoodo Messiah experience.

Means I gotta leave havin' a fam kinda late -- but I know a call to arms when I see one.

Jus' gotta hope you don't check in mebbe 2025 or 2026 an' pull the same kinda stunt!

For sure I would bite your head clean off yr neck zone!

Anyways, I donnin' Spidey pajamas for the first month.

Prolly when it gets coldah in Novembah I will graduate to my Thorwear bcs it got mock fur round the lapels an' gusset.

    What is evrywan else dowin?

We could mebbe set up a forum or pump out sum promo.

Tellya, there are plenty people waitin' for the Zaaahmbie Apocalypse whose anxiety we could both tap an' allay.

History shows "THE GUY IS COMIN' BACK" ain't exactly no lame kinda message.

    Yeah, let's do this!

I figure there is a feelgood movie in this whole vibe.

    THE TRIBE WHO WAITED.

If'n we can get hold of Spielberg, gotta figure we could milk the pathos.

Like when faithful dogs nevah leave their mastah's graveside an' only betray their weakness in cinematic moments of sorrow.

An' I would wanna see plenty candles ... lit up like a beacon as we all head for the mountain when the rebore reaches its zenith.

    Yanno what?

Ima learn Japanese, speshly for the occasion, so I can say sumthin' smart 'bout unwrappin' the ultimate gift.

    *hot flush*

dear sweet jesus, my legs dun gone all week an' feebil ...

Boredom can be normal, and is only an indicator of underlying disease when feelings become excessive, all-consuming and interfere with daily living.

If that was the case the OP would not have posted here Also if he really was that bored all he has to do is walk down the center of Chestnut street or go to the train station and play on the tracks.

(Dis-claimer do not try that at home )

  • Boredom is what happens when you don't do nuthin' excitin' kinda burnsya up faster than all them DIED TOO YOUNG icons.

I would prefer to walk a tightrope don't slash my fanj if'n I slip -- an' I am told this is the Millennial Miracle.

Anyways, what I dun this week don't ossify my braino on no stereotypical zero-productivo trip?

Aw yeah, I know -- I MADE polenta.

Alla the resuppy books say how this delish savory feast can play out equally as an ultra-stodgy kinda soup or biscuits gonna de-denture your ass -- so way cool on Moi for hittin' OPTIMUM.

My pal Amy said, "figured you'd kill us all with this, but I'm more prepared to die from how you didn't."

Ha ha -- turns out I'm a Seelebbe chef now, like Jamie Olover an' them witches from Macbeth.

So prolly I wanna say how defnishin of boredom is how it BONGS like a big ole bell inside yr stoopid braino like sum kinda divine inspiration to up yusself offa your ass an' go try sumthin' noo.

More an alert than a state,
    boredom says
    UNPROSTRATE.

For a yogah gal, this is hard shit to imbibe.

But I learned polenta now, an' mebbe next week the world ossifies to crisp gonna fry all cerebra, I could mebbe flop sumthin' potentially tasty in a pan an' not die.

That is my posishwaahn now on all things.

Gotta hope it is smart enough for all hoomans to wanna while bein' sufficiently irrelevant to keep flyin' alien probers away.

'Evryday Wisdom' ain't zackly my middle name -- but prolly it would be if'n I could spell propah.

    Hey Steven,
The definition of boredom in my dictionary is the time when we are fully free and don't know what to do.
Though present-day life is utterly busy. But, I felt a sort of boredom during the long pandemic. In the first month, everyone was feeling the same, fearful of the virus but then we planned some healthy activities to kill boredom. And spending time on the forum is learning on one hand and healthy time-pass on the other.
    Best of luck
    Thanks
