Funny you should ask - Not border-line, but habitual...

It is 2:25am in California and I just got up because I have been lying there for 2 hours and couldn't sleep. Did see a good movie though on the Independent Film Channel (IFC) but that would never stop me from sleep if I could've.

So just inhaled a double dark chocolate Zone bar and now will inhale a cigarette. It really helps to stop trying to fall asleep if you can't and get up. (change the subject) I should be asleep in an hour.

Nothing much happening here so I will go back to TV.

I average about 4 - 5 hours of sleep per night for the past 8 years or so. Coincidentally, that's around the time I discovered Internet Marketing.

Think there's a correlation?

A lot of times it's hard to sleep because our mind is full of thoughts... might be things to do or a lot of times it's "What IF" scenarios... get up write it down, type it out, say it out loud, record it. Once you think you have it all sorted out, organized and recorded somewhere... your mind will feel more peaceful, and then you can sleep.

well i surf the net and i do it regularly
to tell u the truth i want to have good sleep desperately but just cant and i dont know why

What do i do when i cant sleep i play sims3 or i clean the whole house

Stretch, Meditate, and if all else fails....Ambien.

I have a CD which emits Delta waves to initiate the sleep cycle. Works every time, either that or listen to a clock ticking

I never used to sleep at night for 3 years. ( routine was sleeping around 8 or 9 a.m getting up around 2ish)

Thanks heavens I'm sorted now. Still have trouble sleeping at times but I believe depends on how tired you are and 'at peace' your brain is. Also depends ( particularly for internet marketers ) how much caffeine and smoke n red bulls you've been taking while on the pc.

If you come across a new idea ( which IM people always do) you just can't stop thinking about it at night and how you going to implement it and all that.

I'd suggest getting up and doing any activity 'out of your bed' should take your mind off things and like Patrician said above stop 'TRYING' to sleep coz when you are trying too hard you really can't succeed until you change the subject mentally and then hopefully you'll soon be drifiting in the sleep lane.

I think I will just go online and find someone to chat.........

This is generally when I get most of my work done... My schedule goes a little something like this:

8:00AM - Finally fall asleep
2:00PM - Wake Up, eat, play
6:00PM - do some work
9:00PM - watch some TV, eat some more
11:00PM - Work more... and watch hulu in between.


I've determined that they only time that I'm an insomniac is when I try to conform to the "regular hours" of the world.. I suppose I'm just naturally nocturnal.

I watch TV...mostly cooking channel and HGTV to fall asleep.

well,usually i try to sleep when i can,t sleep

i take out books from book rack and after readng for sometime i get sleep.

Cheer! Sleep is the most worthless thing ever. If I can't sleep, that means I can get more work done.

I eat I usually felt sleepy when I eat too much food. But of course I will take a quick rest first before going to bed.

Switch on Chillout Station on my phone and listen on headphones
Makes me fall asleep (already broken 3 headphones so far as i fell asleep with them :p)

I only very rarely have trouble sleeping, although I do have a cat with complete insomnia...

Listen music and read book

eat some carbs then read a book while lying in bed.

if that doesn't work, read a thread about some guy who has trouble sleeping.

if i cant sleep... i start reading those free wso i downloaded.

listen music and some time play game on mobile.

Hi saw your post and just wanted to make a comment.

When i cant sleep i watch a boring movie that will knock me out instantly, or read a book sometimes or have a strong drink. Neither of those may work for you but that is what i do

When I can't sleep I usually get up and go to the living room where my partner is and lay down on the couch with him. Usually snuggling with him cures the sleeplessness pretty quickly. He then tucks me back in.

Most of the time if I can't sleep I just read a book

I listen to digital R&B music. That helps me fall asleep.

usually I'd just watch a movie, that'll kill the time
