Feeling smart for absolutely NO reason

Thanks to lanfear and other warriors who have helped me with tech over the years. I'm still not good at it - but I am persistent.

I just 'fixed' the hdmi problems I was having with tv, roku and cd player.... was patting myself on the back when I realized I spent at least 3 hrs yesterday trying to figure out the problem.....read multiple tech sites and help sites....etc I reset and re-set again....and finally gave up for the day out of frustration.

Late last night (like 2 am) I realized I was cursing the roku and cd player for not working WITH the Sony TV. For some reason I ALWAYS view tech problems as more difficult than they are.

So this morning before trying anything else I reset the TV by unplugging it for a bit then plugging back in.

Everything works.

I am an idiot.

Yep, if all else fails, just unplug and re-plug (standby mode no good). Everything is re-recognized and refreshed. Have done that on a number of occasions. Sometimes, for some reason, connections just go dormant.

Kay; You haven't lived until you try to upload a photo for 45 minutes...knowing it's an easy task that should take 5 seconds.....and ending up silently crying...before you finally find the obvious button to push.

A task any 5 year old could have taught me.

    You are not alone.
