Your Current Partner Never Existed

In this scenario, whoever you are currently with was never in the picture. You never knew them. If you are currently single, then you could talk about missed opportunities you regret not pursuing.

Was their anyone you met, (given that your life and where you went was the same) along the way that you regret not trying to take things further with. Do you think you would have had someone else in your life, not being tied down when you met them?

    There have been a few women that I assumed would be fun to date, that would say Yes, and make a good partner. So had I not met Cheryl, I would have asked one of them out.

    On the other hand, I had a store that had steady traffic every day. A friend of mine once asked me why I don't go to bars with him (This is when I was single).

    I told him that one day, the right woman would walk through my door. I just had to wait. I did, and it paid off.

    I know this. If it was anyone else I was with, I wouldn't be the same man I am now.
    A great mate will make you want to be a better person.

    A bad choice in mate will ruin your life. I've had both extremes.

    By the way, both single men and women can hide their Crazy until after you move in together. So be sure.

      My life was a little different. I came to the US to be with the (now ex) wife. So I would have still been in the UK if she never existed. But, I can still say that if I would have come here anyway and went to the same places, there would have been several women who could have been potential partners.

      Just after I got divorced, a woman started chatting me up in a store. She was attractive, presentable and articulate. But, I walked away, just fresh from my divorce and having that "never again" attitude. I regret that now.

      More recently, as I was being put through the process of being admitted to hospital, an attractive Porte Rican (senior) nurse, probably in her 40's, came around to attend to me. She was not going to be a regular ward nurse, just one you would see initially. We got chatting about ourselves and marital statuses etc. She then said, it's a pity we could have not met in more favorable circumstances. I, just said yes, would have been nice. What I should have done is take out my phone and asked her to put her name and number in a text field. But nooooo, I let another potential one get away.

      Men are so useless at taking a hint. Well, I obviously am

        Don't beat yourself up. Your health was your biggest concern at the time. Kind of tough when you have to go to the hospital, to think about someone else .

          Yeah, I was feeling ill and was hardly eating. Funnily enough, the reason I went in was because my big toe had developed a lesion and swelled up and became infected and had to be removed.

          But, it never hurt, it was the discovery of diabetes and possibly the neuropathy caused by it that made me feel ill.

          However, I was with it enough to have made the move. Lol. Would have been advantageous to have had a nurse as a wife or girlfriend.

    I recently encountered such a problem that I could not change my garage door in any way. I didn't even know what to do in that case. And I was able to get in touch with https://garagedoorrepairbc.ca/ . They were able to change the gate for me quickly without any problems.
