Are you using one?

I just subscribed to one called Total Adblock. Have not seen one Ad since on any site except for proprietary ones like Microsoft products on MSN.com. It's a refreshing experience.

However, Youtube, where it was working perfectly after three days flagged me on entry to the site. It said, you are using an adblock.. Please disable. You can block YT ad's for 13.99 per month. It let me close the window and continue though. I think if you do continue though they will eventually be blocking videos, perhaps every third one, or something like that.

Well, so far so good, I switched from Chrome to what is becoming my favorite web browser. Brave. Suggest you get it, it is very robust and blocks the great majority of Ad's anyway by default and is 100 percent free. And so far, touch wood, no more YT messages. Who knows though. The Ad Blocker software just makes them go away completely.

I tried a couple ad blockers and had numerous popups saying 'your ad blocker is blah blah blah'. If I have to click to get past an ad blocker - what is the point? Why not just ignore the ad?

Much of the content we use online is free to use (once you have your internet connection) because the sites are supported by ads. The moment 'skip ads' appears on a YouTube video - don't we all click it?

I guess paying for an ad blocker is the best/only way to 'unsee' something?

It's annoying seeing random ads pop interfering with what you are doing .

I think I might have to experiment with the browser Thanks for sharing

    Those pesky marketers!

I just use a Firefox plug-in which seems to stop most ads. Occasionally, a site requires the blocker to be disabled before continuing, but I've never had any issues with YouTube.

I was running Adguard on my phone but it caused too many weird problems. It's great when it works but sometimes it would slow or halt my connection altogether. My phone would immediately work fine after toggling it off.

I have been a Brave user for several years. Google must have just rolled the notifications out in the past few weeks. About 10 days ago I received the first warning, however, I have not been watching many Youtube videos lately.

I don't mind ads at the beginning if you can click off after a few seconds. But the length to click off has been increased at the same time. Google will get you either to watch the ads or pay for an ad blocker. Either way, they are going to make money off of viewers.

I don't go to YT often and when I do it is with the attitude of 'entertainment' and there is nothing there I NEED to see. If I can't click 'skip ad' fairly quickly...I move on to something else.
