I want to send automated e-mails to customers upon product purchase

Didn't find any other forum section that seemed to fit with this question, so I'm the party pooper talking about work in the lounge. Do bear with me.

Anyway, I'm looking for a system that lets me schedule automated e-mails for customers that purchase one of my products. If possible, I would like it to be entirely automated, which means it would have to communicate with the webstore.

I'm a newbie to these things, but I'm experienced with technical stuff, so if any of you can point me in the right direction for this, I can probably figure most of it out myself. I believe such systems exist, because I've been receiving a series of weekly support e-mails after I purchased a meditation product and I don't think they would bother doing that manually.

Thanks for your attention and I would be very grateful for any input.

It sounds like you're looking for an autoresponder service, such as Aweber or Get Response. There are many others but those are two of the most popular and reliable ones. If you have a shopping cart such as 1ShoppingCart it will come with an autoresponder service.

Thank you so much for your reply, Anita. That was exactly what I was after!

Ankur Sharma - it is actually a physical product. Are you developing a script that is actually for purchase or free distribution? I will start selling information products soon enough.

    Thanks again

Aweber seems to be the best and easiest to use - there's even a post on here about forms being in colour !

I believe Getresponse is another good one.

Aweber currently has a deal where you can try their service for one month for $1. Depending on the size of your list their prices start from $19 after the first month...

    Hope this helps,
