The Space Weather Prediction Center has issued its first Severe (G4) Geomagnetic Storm Watch since 2005 for Friday night into Saturday morning.

TONIGHT the northern lights can be seen as far south as Alabama! You'll want to look towards the northern horizon around 1-4 a.m. E.T.

Nice to see this posted, The rain has not exited the East Coast yet, so I don't think we will see it tonight.

One article I read said this could extend potentially for a couple days so you might get a chance to see it. It has clear up here today quite a bit. Still lots of clouds but lot of open sky, too.

Don't know - was it? It was visible here - the best part is supposed to be tonight so we'll see.

I've always thought the Northern Lights were a bit creepy but what I saw last night was really pretty...
