Just got back from Pixar's Inside Out 2. It's a cute animated movie. Even though it was good, I liked the first one a little better.

Any movies you have seen this Summer??

Every time I see a commercial for the movie, I immediately think of Dancing with Wolves. If in any way the new movie is as good as Dancing with Wolves, I will watch it.

I saw that movie like 25 years ago. Could hardly remember anything about it. But at the time I do remember thinking to myself what a great flick. Really classic!!

Well it is freezing here, but ok considering seeing the Latest Mad Max film, (car chases in our outback , etc).

Surprised with the response and takings for Inside Out 2, since PIXAR's last couple of movies have bombed, (including the Inside Out 1).

The head of the marketing division and California's stupid laws means that they cannot go into a room and tear the shreds out of an idea or parts of their movies anymore since some aspects are illegal in that state.

Used to look up to that company and its remarkable run of successes, (have most of their movies on DVD, except Cars) but after John Lassater retired that company has become a movement instead of a children's entertainment company.

More children's movies again I see, lol. To make matters worst, you had already seen volume one. Next time, don't be so selfish and take the kids.

No, not seen any movies at the cinema for years now. The 65" tv seems to have put pay to that for me. I can wait and get them for free anyway.

But, here's a question. What movie, perhaps a sequel or Marvel or something, would you absolutely insist on seeing on the big screen as opposed to waiting, and not just going for the kids sake?

There is a new Superman movie coming out next year, I think. I'll see it in the theater. But the rest? I'll probably see them on Netflix.

Nothing wrong with a decent western, in the middle of the Clint Eastwood Good Bad, A fistful of Dollars ones myself but l suspect you are referring to the modern ones that seem to go forever and are deadly dull?

That was one of my favorites way back then, too. I think this one could be better - i've seen two interviews with Costner where he was talking about making the movies (there will be four of them) and attention to period detail is impressive.

I , for some reason, have never liked Kevin Costner personally. But putting that aside, he is really a helluva an actor. And the parts he has played have been amazing.

Shame, he speaks highly of you.

He never really inspired me as a favorite movie actor. Not keen on westerns either. I just remembered the last movie I saw at the cinema: Dora The Explorer. And yes, their were kids involved as a reason for going. A very adult jokes orientated movie considering. But I slept through some of it.

Four let me guess the titles.

      #1 Dancing with More Wolves

      #2 Dancing with Wolverine

      #3 Wolves with a Vengeance

      #4 Return of the Wolves

I was umm and arrning about it and don't get me wrong l love a good horror sci fi movie, but this is outright depressing.

I mean who wants to see frickin apes take over and turn humans into mutes.

I was starting to go off the franchise the last one where the humans were denied allowing a hydro plant from starting again.

The apes never "Turned" the humans into mutes. At least in this franchise.

And, if you watch this one, without being too much of a spoiler, you will see things starting to look up for the humans.

Ok so you are saying that this doesn't fit in with the Kirk Douglas 1970s' franchise where the only leg up humans got was detonating the nuclear devise that destroyed the earth in about 2000 years give or take.

Urm. I think you are confused, it was Charlton Heston who took the lead male part, not Kirk Douglas

Agreed surprisingly good movie for a remake.

It is also raking it in which is no surprize since people are getting really sick of long movies.

That 4 hour western pffit no way, l know it is a rehash of Gone With the Wind without singing but at least that 4 hour movie had an intermission. l can bet that Legend won't.

It got appalling reviews, too Woke culture. Snow White was rude to her potential lover, yet he still loved her? Things like she's asking Grumpy why he is called that and he says, I was misunderstood as a a child? I mean who needs this kind of dialogue? I'm sure it was a visual feast though.

Did I tell you this, about the original cartoon. Watch it again. If you really concentrate on the ending you will realize that Snow White actually died from the poison apple and the prince was dead too, and he took her off to the castle in the clouds, meaning the afterlife.

Yeah, a shock I know, lean back on that couch and let this revelation wash over you.

Anyone seen the latest Alien franchise movie?. I heard it got good reviews? I appear to be stuck in the 80's and 90's where movies are concerned. Loved the previous Alien movies. I also liked all the sequel's to the Terminator movies. I really think if they had been released closer to the time of the originals they would have been held in higher regard.

They went downhill after the third one, with Prometheus just getting more weird horror than good old meat and potatoes alien gets inside of someone and alien blows a casket getting out.

Alien Vs Predator, was more Predator than the other which was there since humans weren't good enough.

And the later half of the movie was more getting to the middle of the town and fight through the zombies.

You can always tell when a franchise is running out of steam.

If the alien franchise wants to survive then it needs to be an all out war on Earth between them and us!

One movie l am not going to see even though l rewatched them all again including the Adams cut of the second one is Superman.

Sorry Donner, and l know that Superman 1977 or 76, is probably the first Marvel type character, (l know not Marvel but if the shoe fits) but the one that is going to be released soon sure looks like it.

I mean l am a big Superman fan, (may even watch (Superman vs Batman again) but draw the line on a cookie cutter rehash, (l know the 2003 one was a rehash but it was done well and didn't look like a McMarvel type movie).

I would go and see Snow White before seeing another Superman rehash and that is saying a lot considering that Woke backed Disney has destroyed another classic.

The ending brought tears to my eyes.

                I give it a 4.5 out of 5

Had to take some kids along to avoid the awkward stares no doubt. Just a few short years and they will be too old for this. Then what will you do?

I just had a revelation about Krypto The Wonder-dog. Superman was exited from Krypton just before it exploded. So, it must have been the same with Krypto, he could not have been sent any later. So, that means that Superman, now a man approaching his thirties must be the same age as Krypto. Krypto is a 30 year old dog. Long outliving any Earth Dog.

So does that mean both Superman and Krypto are both destined to age for ever but never die? Not going to look cool to see a decrepit looking Superman flying around.

One of the weird things about comic books, and fiction in general....it all depends on who is writing it.

Superman has been shown as aging the same as we do...and also being immortal.

He has been shown getting weaker as he ages, and stronger.

Honestly, I can't remember how Krypto got here, other than he was added to the Superboy comics in the 1950s or so.

At one time, there was also a super horse, a super monkey, and a super cat.

Some of them were the result of magic spells and some were supposed to come from Krypton. It became a muddled mess for the writers to keep straight, so they restarted the DC Universe a few times.

I can't wait for the new movie this next month.

By the way, I bought bound black and white copies of the Superman comics from the 1950s on....and the comic was originally written for young children, with no tether to reality at all. Those stories are hard to read. But I remember as a kid, thinking they were amazing.

Except when the British movie policeman caught up with you, a guy far too old to be watching a movie of this kind, highly suspicious. He said: "Elio Elio Elio, what's all this then?"

Apparently, George Lucas and a woman make vids of themselves going to the latest movies before release, special privileges?

So they went to see Superman and gave it a glowing review, apparently that's a good sign.

Just watched it. Maybe the best Superman yet. Exceptionally good battle scenes. A strong moral story, and some humor. About as good as Guardians Of The Galaxy.

My only complaint is that the theme music wasn't much like it was in the trailers.

But I can see where the rave reviews come from.

i give it a solid 8. I think they could have made it a more simple plot. Kind of lost me in the middle of the movie. though, Iam a small minded person mind you lol

lex Luthor character stole the show, imho !! He was truly brilliant. He looked the part and acting was amazing.

iam a little biased but this Superman doesn't come close to Christopher Reeve potrayal in Superman 1 and 2. Of course we are talking about the great Christopher Reeve so who really could ??
And Margot Kidder was easily the better Lois Lane by a country mile

The ending in this Superman was superb!! It's the only reason why i didn't give it a 5 or 6

When I said "Best", I should have said "Most comic accurate".

For example, I really liked The Man Of Steel. But it wasn't like the comics, and the characters were portrayed differently.

The original Superman movie in 1978 was a real milestone in superhero movies. The first really well produced movie of its kind.

I thought Henry Cavil looked the most like what Superman looked like in the comics....but Corenswet acted the most like Superman from the comics. It's because the director/writer was such a great Superman fan from the comics.

And the current Lois Lane is the most comic accurate, but I know we all have our own personal tastes.

For many decades, the DC comics had heroes (Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman) who almost always had god like powers....but they were all written the same. All the same personalities, the same motivations, the same stories. All interchangeable.

They all had a secret identity, almost all had one weakness, and the characters were written with the same dialog.

Marvel decided in the 1960s to have heroes who had real world problems and distinct personalities. They were interesting. A huge step up.

In the movies it was mostly the same. Batman movies were different, more interesting.
But the movies focused more on big effect moments, rather than compelling stories.

This Superman movie felt like a Marvel movie. It had heart, it was relatable, and Superman was shown to be human, maybe for the first time.

James Gunn wrote and directed it. And he did the same for Guardian Of The Galaxy, one of the best "superhero" movies yet.

Fantastic Four was the first time I really enjoyed a movie about those characters. I thought it was a great movie...that just happened to feature super heroes. I can't wait to see what happens next.

My son has been properly brainwashed to not like DC. I don't think he's ever seen a DC movie and he's never asked.

It's only a matter of time before he see's a clip of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman or The Flash etc and says: " Dad Why have you been been keeping this amazing stuff from me?" You will be resented for plying him with Marvel and Disney material. At 18, he will leave home and never ask for your help or financial contributions on anything.

          An excellent plan!

I think, true to say, he cleans up well for movies. But when you see him in everyday life, he looks his age.

Fkr shows up on muh doorstep lookin' any way desprit, I pullin' him in by his dick, tellya.

Same for Matt Damon an' Benedict Cumbahbatch (the guy can find the place).

          I the woist kinda sleurte?

Nah, bcs moment I see Clooney cummin', I callin' PALACE HOTSIES to git him back in his stoopid Jeep.

Same goes for most guys in jeans.

Like you ain't gaht the heart to shimmy out in the easiah openin' legweah of pure swooshy class.

          Gotta figure Pitt real dirt.

But also naht killed nowan (less'n mebbe sum movie audiences, ha.)

tbh I think about it, guy is prolly dinnah an' yeah you can try my panties on you wanna.

Movie stars livin' to 105+ how else?

So I guess, analojiztickly speakin', I left tryin' to squeeze out from buttween Damon an' Benzogazmo.

*pants* mebbe this is my Heroine Story! An' ima slip outta all possible endings like I cain't evin bend muh frickin' legs all sweet?

Yeah, but how does THAT work out zackly?

Without pissin' Dames & Cumbs beyond all mortal areahs?

"May I apply my Elizibethanoidinspired lips to your manyfoweled glories, your yelps to savour?"

I don't gotta turn round to figure who cryin' out to Moi from buhheind.

An' so I turn toward Damon again.

          As evah he was.

          As evah he is.

The dreamboat you cain't evah fail to sail in ...
no mattah how pertickulah yr pertickulahz.

"They had me all wrong in that Tarantino movie," he says, like he nevah for a sec gaht strandid evah on Mars. "I would never turn a trained dog on anyone's face. Ever."

          Waitaminnit, that was Pitt.

          Suitahs in a swirl.

          What's a gal to do?

Sum days you cain't evin swoon straight.

          Anyways, Damon wakes up.

"Screwidity of trip? SCREWIDITY OF TRIP?"

So I'm like that was the frickin' tagline for the movie ... but now he backa the jeeyip c/o Clooney.

(I would wish always to figure a total meet-up point for shit, butchya gotta make allowances for nowan ain't gaht no actschwl cloo. Hanks resides here for Moi, plus mosta the Batmans circa evah. 'Part from Prince, an' he jus' on the frickin' take.)

"Big talk. I get it. Who cares?"

Brad says I speak, an' so I will.

"You don't show, Thelma an' Loiuse don't die."

          "You can prove that?"

          "I can conjectyoore."

We are eye to eye: movieland iris to Princessly defianceness ...

          ... lessness.

I have heard mixed things about Elio, but want to give it a chance. I enjoy animated movies that try to say something deeper. I will watch it with my kid shortly.

Robert, is it true that F1 is similar to Top Gun? Also, are you ready for College Football? Less then 8 weeks till the Pro's start.

Hey Don, yep not sure they are similar, maybe in some way as the two main characters were seemingly old men who were out of it compared to their younger counterparts. So yep i could see similarities.

Oh yeah Don looking forward to college football. My favorite time of the year

F1 was more like Top Gun Maverick. It contained one man that was old and out of it.

Yes, I thoroughly enjoyed watching A Quiet Place: Day One recently. The series benefited greatly from the storytelling and the intense atmosphere. The sound design was excellent as usual. It is highly recommended for those who enjoy tense thrillers. Is anyone else planning to see it?

    I thought Superman was garbage
Fantastic 4 was mostly terrible. But it was better than most of the Marvel junk
Naked Gun was good until then end. The "my better half" line "woked" me to death
The only good thing about the cinema this summer was the AC
