Do You Like The Band "Yes"

Loved their 70's albums. But they suffered with later frequent lineup changes. Jon Anderson was their most prolific writer, but like the Beatles being less than the sum of their parts when solo, he liked to co write with band members.

So, his solo work was either great, good or so so.

Anderson is now pushing 80 but still has all his hair and still a great voice. A few years ago I spotted The Band Geeks on YT. A group of multi talented musicians who reproduced ELP, Genesis and Yes numbers, pitch perfect and accurate. I thought then, if only Jon would get together with them as a band and start writing good Yes music again. Well, surprisingly, he did, and produced an album of fresh, original Yes material. They get him and he gets them. They are as good as the original lineup.

The Album called "True" by Jon Anderson and The Bank Geeks you can find freely to listen too on YT. It is his Magnum Opus. Possibly his last ever. It truly measures up to the greatness of 70's Yes. He is actually touring with the band.

So, if you like Yes, look for it on YT and take a listen. I for one was blown away. The 16 minute track "Once Upon a Dream" is worth it alone.
