More congestive heart failure.

They did a thorough investigation of my heart and gave me loads of Lasix and modified my battery of pills I'm taking. The pills have side effects and collectively make me feel nauseous amongst other things. Not feeling too good and my heart is down in its pumping action again.

Although the stent is working well, during their investigations they found a spot on my pancreas and some slivers on my liver. I had a full biopsy a few days ago to find out the extent of the problem I may have pancreatic cancer that's spread to my liver. My prospects don't look good but I will know more in the coming week. Will keep you informed.

I was wondering where you were over the past few weeks and feared it might be health-related. So sorry to hear about your troubles.

Stay strong, Mark - you have friends here.

This kind of struck me. It's kind of weird how you can come to really care about someone you have never met who lives halfway across the world and talks funny (UK English or even a different language altogether)

I read that and I thought of the friends we've lost forever, the friends who haven't been back in a long time, and the friends that are still here but facing their own challenges.

Those thoughts are a big reason I stick around here even as others are abandoning ship.

      Mark

PS Sorry, just an old coot waxing nostalgic.

Over the last 15 years or so, I've interacted more with Mark than I have with some family members.

PS. It's not just you. I think he talks funny too.

Really brings home the realization that if you have good health well it means everything !!

Robert, I've been meaning to comment on this.

Please don't play around with that. That crap will ruin your life if you don't get out in front of it. If you don't have it, thank goodness, but then do everything you can to prevent it. If you do have it, don't let some ___ doctor tell you anything like, "just lose a little weight", "just watch it", "nothing to worry about", "just change your eating a bit" or anything similar to this. If that doctor doesn't take it dead seriously, find one that will.

Most doctors don't take it seriously until you get to the point they are needing to have a discussion with you about getting on the liver transplant list.

I hope you don't have it, don't get it, and if you do, you can reverse it. Let us know what you find out if you don't mind.

      Mark

Update, cancer has been confirmed in the pancreas. I going to be receiving medicinal drips on a regular basis for a while. A sort of non harmful version of chemo. There are many ways to tackle this. Its not at its most severe form. Will keep you informed and thanks for all your support and kind words.

Thank you for keeping us updated.

It is important that you maintain your strength
during all of this by eating healthy foods and
      getting plenty of rest.

Ask your doctors what you should be eating,
they will provide you with a meal plan.

I wish you all the best and will continue to

Much as we love OT for all the derailment possibilities it throws up relentlessly, gotta figure this is Fearo's heartfelt an' personal shoutout.

(Less'n you want I tell all 'bout how I nearly cut off a FINGAH las' time I trimmed my BUSH.)

So, on this basis, latest nooz from Fearo has many positives to commend it despite where he now finds himself.

unfortunately,I guess you have to come to the realization that everything is not ok with Mark. Just heartbreaking really.

Truthfully, I really did not get along with Mark when i first came to the Warrior Forum. We had polar opposite views on many things. But i genuinely came to really respect and totally embrace him as a person in the best of ways.

I will miss his clever humour and the off topic forum will definitely not be the same without him.
