    I saw comments on TV about the video yesterday - he said when they put all those great singers together they had rooms full of egos.

    Then the producer showed clips from haiti a big screen - and he said the egos just disappeared.

        exactly. I feel for haiti and its a sad thing that happened, but im not going to step over the homeless and needy here to help people in another country.

    Man, for God sake... nobody is saying not to help people here in the U.S... But it's also ok to recognize others that may be hurting and need a helping hand, even if they aren't US citizens.

    IMHO - I would rather help an injured child living in a hell hole that just lost his parents in a catastrophe than someone that can't find a job... but that's just me.. I guess you can call me unpatriotic.

    There are people here in the US that need help, very true, very very true. But it is also EXTREMELY important to help the global world as well. I travel all the time and have visited all kinds of third world countries as well as visited many places in the US that suffer the most.

    I CAN PROMISE YOU. There are many countries in this world where the average person has the standard of living worse than the very poor in our country. Let me emphasize...the AVERAGE person in other countries lives worse than the bottom 1% of our country. I have been to Haiti, this is one of those countries.

    YES, we NEED to help people in our country

    BUT YES, we also need to remember we belong to a global community, much of which needs much more than we do.

    please dont eat me apart for my opinion, its just my opinion.

    I was overwhelmed by this video. Unity was the best way to gain success. Let us all join hand in hand to help those Haiti Victims which I know until today, some of them are not been able to cope with that tragic disaster.

    From what i've seen, they are pretty much starting to rebuild right now. Its probably going to be a couple years before everything is back to 'normal'.
