My fingers going numb...

I work in office as a secretary, typing, sending invoices, petty clerical stuffs... I don't think my typing speed is fast enough to cause me any harm, but the problem is, my little fingers feel numb at first, then it spreads to other fingers. I heard about carpal tunnel syndrome, but such condition should be rare. Is there any other reason that cause numbness?

best thing to do would simply seek medical attention, set up an appointment with your doctor........... and go from there, dont put it off

You're compressing and damaging the nerves in your wrists. This has more to do with your posture at the keyboard than anything else.

I worked for an ergonomics and physical therapy company for a few years, and the tips are pretty standard. You can find them all over the place. Here's one such place:

Not my site, don't know whose it is, came up in a Bing search for "keyboard ergonomics" if you'd like to find a different one.
