I didn't bring dating or engaged into it, because technically that is still not married. So either someone is married or they are not, and maybe I should have just put "not married" instead of "single"...which I may go and change now...

If you take your question literally (like I did) you can only be one or the other, so everyone on this forum would fall into either one category or the other.

I worked for a finance company for a few years, and in every application I took I had to mark either single, maried, or separated. It's like the third state of relationships - single, married or scarred by a previous relationship.. I think.

I've been happily single for 6 months now. Alas, the spring weather has been making me think about doing it all over again. =P

I'm single. I simply have too much to lose, etc... don't know who I can trust, and simply haven't met enough candidates. I won't marry just anyone.

That said, there were times where if I WERE married, I could have done FAR more. In my first 2 businesses I was really somewhat successful, and they could have taken off if I had a wife. She would NEVER have had to work, and would have had at LEAST an upper middle class status. Pity.
