Yikes twitter advertising... i thought most Savy I,M ers drop some links for free in their tweets... it will be interesting to see the benefits of Advertising on twitter.

This is interesting and a long awaited development from Twitter. Promoted Tweets and Twitter Ads will almost be a hybrid of Google's "sponsored links" and Adsense for feeds. The sponsored tweets will appear at the top of the search results on Twitter.com and within the tweet stream consumed by third party developers. Marketers can use this to get their ads to the right people as long as the "promoted" tweets are relevant to and add value to the "organic" tweets.

Yes it works for marketing but it doesn't generally result in targeted traffic, its more volume than targeted.

No one can tell you how this compared to FB since there is no data to compare it on yet.

I think it is comparing articles to video, apples & oranges.
