    Just watched the video. All your friend has to do is read the little tiltes that are flashed (pardon the pun) at the bottome of the screen. "Scouts Hope To Publicize Project By Examining Jessica Alba" and "Scouts Say Idea For Project Came To Them While At Local Pool" - to each of those I say "I bet!"

      You are exactly right, that's what makes them so funny. They do so well, I don't fault your friend for not knowing this was a fake piece.

      HeySal, the best satire is hard to tell from reality. Kudos to The Onion for getting it right.
