I just got banned, and guess the reason?

The story:

I aws buying a squeeze page , I saw 1 good one and I bid $120 on it, I contacted him tomorrow asking if it's unique, he said that it's not unique but he has resell rights, and if I buy it, I will have, so than I asked him if I can remove my bid, he said "sure" , contact Flippa, bcs I don't know how, well then I did, and fllippa responds after 4 days, 1 day after the auction ended... and they said it's too late..... and then I asked him if he can contact them and tell them to unban me , ill buy the site...


FLIPPA Did not even investigate it!

    You should email flippa first w/ this info and wait for their reaction. There's nothing any of us here can do about it, so it's not really the proper place for it.

      I guess they are really strict on bidding and then not following through with it. The best way to have done it in my opinion is to ask the seller to discontinue and cut the auction short. Which is very hard to do unless the seller has a legitimate excuse (like this one seller I saw had a website for sale, but he posted it in the 'domain for sale' section - which is the wrong section - and even then - it still took a while for Flippa to go ahead and grant the seller's request to place his ad in a different section)

      But either way you would have been stuck between a rock and a hard place - here's why:

      Flippa looks at it as you causing them to loose out on potential earnings. And it hurts their credibility and also wastes the other bidders time. Think what would happen if more and more people started doing that. If no law was laid down, then people would abuse the bidding system. They would bid but not intending to buy. If another trade website comes online and does a better job at controlling this - then more people would leave Flippa to post on this new trading site. So, they are looking out for their business.

      From the seller's point of view, he may not like it too much because he has to start the bid all over again and those that bid high may never come back - waste of time and potentially money. Even if its not your intention.

      If I'm not mistaken, the seller has to pay just to post the item up for bids. I would just make sure I get as much information about the item before you place that bid.
