Yet another newbie on the block!

Okay, so I am one day old at this forum and have been having a blast so far I've been a bit of a shy web-dev/programming kind of a girl so far, with a knack (erm, if I may say so myself) for solid design and writing. I worked out that I might be decent freelancer material, and the need to understand the process of marketing myself brought me around here. I'm not completely new, as I've been lurking for months over the internet at large, and have a vague idea of the basics, and I've decided it's about time to bite the bullet and take action, as is so often suggested

Being someone who's generally lived under a rock and is largely an introvert, I am hoping to bring myself out in the open here

I hope to test waters in the warriors-for-hire forum at some point in the near future, since as of now, I have nothing but my skills to sell. I am not sure where a newbie gets his/her credibility from, so any advice would be greatly appreciated. I did attempt posting a review request of sorts, but I am guessing that is disallowed, because it was deleted more or less instantly Help, please?
