BBC NEWS | World | Americas | US Elections 2008 | Warning over US election problems

After this and other articles elsewhere/elsewhen, I get the
feeling that every US Attorney will be contracted to the
Reds or Blues for months.

Anyone see Lou Dobbs "examples of voter problems" last night?

It showed people pressing the very top of one candidates "vote link" - and the machine "switching to another candidate" - but that didn't seem to be where the problem was.

On the videos, the people were not applying pressure on the one inch or so part of the screen that was the "link" for their candidate. They were attempting to press directly on the candidate NAME shown in that banner and thus were hitting the very top of the link and it wasn't working right.

Simple cure - put the candidate's names in the center of their "space" - instead of on the edge! Duh! Or tell people to press the "vote" icon instead of the name.

And people expected a "real" election? After what we have seen the press do to third party candidates, after what the GOP did to Ron Paul in the Nevada convention - seeing voters that are in foreclosure being denied the right to vote in Michigan - ACORN........and the list goes on. And people still expect a real election? LOL. That's as funny as people still thinking we elected Bush either time. No wonder we are in such deep dookie. That is why the push for third party elections - to break the elitist continuum. Seems not enough people "get that" to save our country. Well, the idea of a republic was fun while it lasted, eh?

I have heard that there will be lawyers standing by at every "poll (remember when they were VOTING booths instead of "polls"?) watching what is going on but I am not sure how many that were able to be arranged for coverage. I hope it's enough.
