Disgusted!!

Hey all,
I am new to the forum--been doing IM for a while, but there's always something new to learn!! I just registered for the [deleted] forum, and let me tell you it is horrible--the way they speak to and treat people on the forum is just disgraceful. I read a few threads where the forum admins were telling people to jump in front of trucks and the level of profanity--now don't get me wrong I can have the mouth of a truck driver too--but seriously how do we expect people to respect what we do if there are people out there that behave like that.

All I wanted to say is that I am glad this forum exists because I have had really positive experiences from the members here, and look forward to learning as much as I can (and hopefully passing on some of my knowledge as well!!)

    Just so you know... We do not generally allow negative comments about specific other forums. I happen to agree with your assessment of the place in question, but that's a separate issue.

      By the way... If you want to get an interesting perspective on the differences among forums in this market, go to Alexa.com. Type in the URLs of the various forums, and look at the demographics tabs for each.

        Just did that--and that makes perfect sense now--I am a secondary teacher by day and it made me feel like I was on my lunchtime duty supervising the kiddies!! No wonder!

      Thanks for that--trying to remember all the rules and regs--will keep that in mind for next time!!

      I just think that things like that give a really poor message--especiallly to people who are trying to break into the business--but hey maybe that's just me!!
