What is the most useless thing you know how to do? I think the most useless thing I can do is ride a 6 foot high unicycle -- being able to do that has offered no advantages whatsoever in my life.

What is with all your talk about kleinigkeiten today! OK, let's say trivialities.

I'm sure if I thought about it hard enough I could come up with a lot, but I guess I have a value for every little thing I know. Even my now most basic understanding of DEC DCL and RMS. Even BSD B-tree files. Even that the tab on an 8" floppy makes it writable, but on the 5.25 PREVENTS writing. Soldering joints, different words/languages, quoting movies. Who knows. Maybe I'll wait and see what others say.

Not sure that I consider ANYTHING useless. A skill teaches you something even if you never use it. I've gone over and over in my head what a useless skill could be and can't think of one.

A skill is NEVER useless! It might sound silly at the time, you might even feel ridiculous when attempting this "skill", but all in all, it will come in handy sooner or later! If it doesn't, then you have a funny story to tell people! Haha!

My "useless" skill is I can crack almost EVERY single joint in my body, from my toes to my tailbone, to my neck!

You have no idea how hot that is.

My useless skill? I can predict within +/- 2 posts when Joe Robinson will mention Disney or Burger King. In fact, his first post in this thread will mention both. Watch.

It gets old fast. Riding a 6 foot high unicycle is actually easier than a regular sized one. Think of how it is easier to balance a long stick on your finger than a short stick.

Based on experiencing it as a guy, I believe unicycle riding is a recreational form best pursued by females.

Or worse still l have to put up with them going through their life history and showing their family and how many dogs they have,.

Good catch, but is that always a useless skill? After all, we've got to add a lot of new jokes to an old thread. Most old threads probably shouldn't be resurrected, but in this case, I think the thread has been improved a good bit.

On second thought, resurrecting old threads that can be improved is probably more an "art" than a skill, so you're right. Get him!

I don't think "most of the time" counts. I'm requesting you think up a new useless skill of yours that is useless all the time.

By the way, did you know your forum user name anagrams to Magic Sot?

That reminds me of an old school mate of mine whose Dad could fart on command.

Just think of all those awkward pregnant pauses that are just screaming out for a trouser trumpet - this bloke could actually do something about it.

OK, that doesn't really fit in this thread as it is a most useful skill, but never mind.

Now that's a very good useless skill. You are admitted into the club. Actually, you were already in the club, I just like to josh people.

As for the Magic Sot, not sure if you tossed up all those question marks because you don't know what an anagram is, or a sot, or you just think I'm retarded. But hey, we're supposed to list useless skills, and making anagrams has to rank right up there.

I have wondered what your handle meant, now I know.

Just in case you weren't thinking I was retarded...
Anagram: Rearranging the letters in a word or phrase to make a new word or phrase.
          Sot: A drunk.

Disclaimer: Magic Sot is not an inference regarding your alcoholic intake, it's just an anagram and isn't intended to represent any persons, living or dead, real or imaginary...so there. Are we having fun yet?

Oh, I should mention a useless skill, shouldn't I? I was quite good at finding random memes that were appropriate for WF threads. Those days have sadly passed, as I'm not spending 10 more seconds to properly link back. That would make it into a useful skill, and I cannot allow that.

No skill is useless if you know how to use it. Riding a unicycle makes buskers loads of money. I know a guy who used to ride one and juggle fire and he used to make more in a day than I made in a week. Never judge other people and their skills by your own standards.
