XFactor video refunds

I'm not sure what's going on in the other sections of the WF, but I read a thread on people not getting refunds for XFactor videos one minute and then *poof* the entire thread evaporates.

Is there some unwritten rule that WF members can't discuss refunds on products not being honored?

Or is it in the wrong section? Just curious, because it seems like an important topic for some WF members.

Anyway, I'll try starting a thread here since threads started by other members in other areas have been deleted.

NOTE: The label to this section says "This is where you can discuss anything you want to discuss with other Warriors."

The sticky says "Religious & Political Topics Are Forbidden!"

So, this should be completely within the guidelines, yes?

So here goes:

Did anybody get their refund for the XFactor videos AFTER the XFactor forum closed?

You can't discuss problems you have with products as stated by the rules here: Warrior Forum Helpdesk Obvously, if you are getting a refund, it means there was a problem.

Ok, I just read the link you posted and I'm assuming you mean:

A: MAIN FORUM RULE

If you have a problem with another Warrior, a Guru, or God, take it up with them directly. Not here. No exceptions.

So does that mean only the main internet marketing discussion section? or is it a blanket statement for every section of the Warrior Forum?

Because if it's the latter, what is the point of a Products Review or Chat section if people can't get advertised refunds for an IM product and they can't find out they can't get refunds because any reference to not being able to get them is deleted?

The point of the product review section is to give reviews of products not to discuss weather refunds are issued or not.
Think about how fast this forum would fill up with posts about not getting refunds if that rule didn't exist.
Give an honest review of the product and if you asked for a refund and didn't receive it, put that in your review.

Members don't go to the different forum sections to read posts complaining about refunds. That is something between you and the product seller.
Like I said write an honest review of the product in the product review section and leave it there.

When two threads on the same subject have been locked by mods - it's not a great idea to start another thread on the topic.

Rule #1 in the forum rules applies

it seems like an important topic for some WF members

In truth half of the people posting in the original threads joined here only to post complaints in those threads. You can't post a review on a product where the seller has announced he is abandoning the project and will pursue making those refunds. You don't review a product that doesn't exist.

My question on reviewing a non-existent product was essentially rhetorical because ThomM's explanation only made sense IF a product existed but there still appeared to be a loophole with helping fellow Warriors avoid some potentially nasty surprises.

Maybe I should reword my concern as follows:

If a substantial number of Warrior members have not received promised refunds for a "to be created" $97 product from a vendor is there any way to make other members aware so they can make an informed decision on whether they want to drop $695 on a coaching program by the same vendor?

Hi Canuck,

I'll reply briefly here as my time is limited this week.

I'm currently aiding my Grandmother's passing so will not have time
to look all over for posts.

It seems that no matter how many times I have explained the situation,
either here, my forum, or even email - it's like pulling teeth - impossible
to get through.

I'll try one more time:

The Video Project & Paypal Refunds

1) The video project was canceled because with 300+ clips taken over
the course of several months, the job was terrible and I will be starting
over with a new site but hiring a professional video creator to walk me
through daily recordings so that the final product is 1st class.

2) Everyone will get a refund. Quite a few already have through personal
checks, however I have decided to keep the payments straight through
the same paypal account that it was paid so that I do not get double
refunds from people.

3) Yes, double refunds - there have been instances where personal checks
were cashed, then the same parties filed disputes and will get a double
refund because paypal does not care about any payments as proof outside
of their system.

4) And finally, the reason why you may not have a refund is because (as
I have explained several times), my paypal account is temporarily frozen
due to a hacker breaking in and spending thousands (my suspicion is
towards an ex-member of my forum that I had to ban, due to the IP
address provided through paypal).

5) I was on the phone with them today and until they verify that every
single transaction that was made was not by me, the account cannot send
or receive payments.

6) Estimated time frame, as given by paypal limitations department is
from 2-3 weeks from now (but they said it could be sooner).

7) Once re-opened (I'll repeat this again), all remaining refunds will go
through so that everything is tracked from the same paypal account and
I do not get double refunds by being tricked via an other payment route.

My Coaching

I thought I already explained this previously, but I'll try one more time:

1) My coaching offer is closed so you do not have to worry about getting
involved.

2) The students are all in communication with me and I will be creating
a master keyword blueprint and ongoing directions for up to 1 year.

3) During the 1-year coaching my goal is for each individual to learn how
to get 1 website earning a minimum of $10,000 per year.

4) $100 a day ($36,000) per year, per site, is my actual goal for them,
although this is a personal undisclosed goal that I keep to myself ($30
per day is more realistic to most).

My Forum

We'll go through this another time as well, although I have already
outlined the situation in depth, and so many times.

1) The forum was closed and all posts deleted.

2) The reasons were many, but to be honest I was just totally and
utterly sick of the drama from banned members, getting phone calls
and threats by email, my paypal account broken into, and the final
straw was being pulled into legal issues between a buyer and seller
of websites.

3) Yes I will re-open the forum and start another one, but right now
I need to get through all of the other stress first hand.

My Book

1) A new book will be released which will cover all of my publishing
experience from way before the Micro-Niche approach to now, and
helping to create a better more well-informed action plan of long-term,
higher earning sites.

2) There is no date of release and it will be done when it's done.

3) Yes, all forum members will be getting a free copy, even those that
have decided that I'm such a terrible guy after going through this
temporary up-hill experience.

Final Note

Hope this explains everything for you, and anyone else that does not
understand my email replies or other forum posts on the matter.

Hopefully this thread can stay up so long as the angry mob can refrain
themselves from going ape-****.

What's done is done, and not by anything that I would have planned
or wanted.

It will all get fixed and the publishing business will continue to prosper
through my new forum, the updated course, personal coaching and the
intelligent and hard-working marketers that will part of the new family
inside.

Btw, if you're on the level, I'm sure some (if not most) former members (myself included) would be willing to chalk this all up to a very bizarre and unfortunate series of events.

However, if it instead turns out to be a Joaquin Pheonix does IM style yarn, we'll need to inform the public, yes?

Canuck Warrior,

Do not create another thread on this topic, and do not re-post deleted threads again.

One of the reasons these types of topics aren't allowed is that the people involved tend to become obsessive and try to take over the forum with them until they get whatever answer they're looking for. Whether the objections are valid or not isn't something we're able to determine in most cases. What we can be sure of is that the membership and the moderators cannot fix it, and the constant disruption is harmful to the group overall.

There is also the problem that this sort of discussion tends to spiral out into unreasoning abuse. I closed another thread on this subject and deleted a few posts from the end that were just repeats of what had already been said. It was moving quickly in the direction of crazy, with people who had nothing to do with the situation commenting in nasty terms.

The only reason this thread wasn't deleted and you banned for a few weeks for re-posting it is that John specifically asked that it be allowed to remain, along with his answer and his plan for correcting the problems. I will respect his wishes on that. I think it's a responsible act on his part.

I will not, however, let it degenerate into another 300+ post argument, with people who have nothing to do with the situation jumping in and turning it into a flame fest.

Now...

If you have some reason to think that the rules for Main Discussion don't apply in every section of this forum, please allow me to correct that notion. They do.

The rules for Main Discussion cover the entire forum. Some sub-sections have additional rules stated because they apply to posts that belong in those sections. Posts on those topics don't belong in other sections, so those rules aren't repeated everywhere.
