This is just my condolence to her family and loved ones. Heather was a channel 10 News Reporter in Ohio that lost her battle to breast cancer on November 7,2008. She was a mere 38 years young and lost the fight yesterday. So to all of the people that have lost someone to this dreaded disease keep them in your memories and help to find a cure to end this life taker.
GOD Bless you all!!!!
In Memory of Heather Pick

I lost my wife to cancer the day after her 42 birthday in 02.
My heart goes out to anyone who has suffered with this disease and to their friends and families who had to suffer watching them die and caring for them.

      Hi THom
They say time heals all wounds but sometimes we all question as to whether or not it will. I hope in time your wounds will heal. May GOD bless you and yours.
      Sincerely; Gary

I had an uncle and a close friend of our family both die from cancer, and the accounts that I heard of what it was like toward the end (since I was too far away to see either) was heart-wrenching. My mom is also a hospice volunteer so I hear about that sometimes too. I can only begin to imagine what you went through Thom, but my thoughts and prayers are with you.

My thoughts and prayers are also with Heather's family/friends, as well as anyone else out there who to experience this in life. It's things like this that I think should serve as reminders to people that you shouldn't always take it for granted that your family/friends will "always" be there because life, as we know, is unpredictable. So, when you are given the moment to let someone know you love them, DO IT! because someday that moment won't be there anymore. God Bless!!

My thanks to both of you.
I didn't mean to hijack this thread.

The Hospice nurse who visited us daily told me it is something you learn to deal with that gets easier as time goes on. She was right I guess.
Some days I can talk about it like it doesn't bother me, other days the thought of her brings tears to my eyes.
I still have my youngest step-daughter (her daughter) living with me and I am thankful for that gift she gave me. I am also thankful for the time I got to spend with her.
I always pray that there will be a cure for cancer so no one ever has to go through that pain as the one that has it, or as the ones that love them.
