need help finding something in the U.S. Constitution

Where exactly does it say that an attorney may not hold any seat in office? I have searched and couldn't find it anywhere. Which article and in which section? Sorry to rehash this subject again. Just need to see it in black and white for myself.

    You can't find it because it doesn't say it.
    I think they have to quit practicing so there isn't a conflict of interest, but I'm not sure about that.

    If you review past posts, HeySal and I spoke about that issue. I believe there were like 14 presidents (guestimating) who were attorneys: Lincoln, JQ Adams, to name two.

    yes I remember reading that thread i was just trying to find were it was actually written at I wanted to see it in black and white. That's all sorry about the confusion.
