what is the best way to get my computer bug free from virus?

Thx

  • Well i suggest that you run your anti virus program and see if that will get rid of it. If not then you may have to download a program that can remove what ever the bug is. But I would do it asap because if it is a really bad one it can ruin your computer.

Watching some porn tends to help.

Not sure which sites you should try but it definitely helps.

Then also Malware Bytes Anti-Malware is pretty damn good.

Whichever you choose they both have their advantages.

    wrong section of the forum.

Download either spybot search & destroy or Malwarebytes

Either link will open up and the download should automatically begin within a few seconds.

I know an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure and I'm guessing you are looking for a cure right about now.

Don't know the best cure, but for prevention, I like the software at Majorgeeks with lots of free and paid applications for malware, spyware, viruses, trojan horses, any kind of undesired micro-byte critter that wants to do bad things in your computer.

Try the free AV version from http://avast.com
It updates virus definitions about twice each day.
It also has the ability to run a scan at boot time
before Windoze starts, so that it can kill rootkits
and boot sector viruses etc which are very hard to
    eliminate except at boot time.

My eldest daughter was using AVG until last week
when a virus disabled AVG and well and truly did all
kinds of things to her PC. Eventually, after much
phone debate, I persuaded her to uninstall AVG and
install Avast (which I use) ...then do a boot time scan
followed by a full intensive scan of both her hard drives.
About 4 hours later her PC was up and running like new
and Avast had shovelled out loads of nasties she knew
    nothing about.

Avast has protected all my own computers for some years.
It has never yet let me down (unlike others) and it does
not infest windows and slug performance like many others.
The paronoid may prefer the paid for Avast versions which
offer more bells and whistles .... but free works fine for me.

I recently tried Clam AV (free version) and found it's really good. It picked up some infections that I was not aware of. I shudder to think that they were in my computer all along.

      DON'T DO THAT!

Thats where loads of viruses and similar try to hide.
Turn off system restore before tackling a virus!!!

    Hi
Here is the way to remove a virus. a virus is any program that replicates itself.
You can download a free version of avg, avast or trend micro house call.
then download the following anti spyware-it is very good. SUPERAntiSpyware.com | Remove Malware | Remove Spyware - AntiMalware, AntiSpyware, AntiAdware!

    Install,follow the prompts and update.
    next restart your computer
hold down f8 and select safe mode
once loaded your desktop will appear running with minimal resources.
open the super anti spyware and do a complete scan.
after that is done open up the antivirus you downloaded and updated and run a complete scan. because your in safe mode it will run the scan using the dos shell extension. don't worry it is the way to remove the virus completely should there be one.
Once completed delete the files. restart your computer. scan again.
always keep them up to date
Malware bytes is good but this finds what that doesn't so use the super anti spyware one
    Cheers

I know people will say I'm crazy but I have never paid for any anti-virus software. I use Ad-Aware Free Edition. When I have rarely gotten infections in the past I was always able to get rid of them with it and now the newest version actively watches for viruses while you're online and I haven't been infected since I got this new free version 6 or 8 months ago.

Consumer reports rated it way up near the top of the list with the paid virus software and Windows 7 recognizes it (says virus protection is on).

I also switched to the Google Chrome browser a while ago which I believe also has some virus protection built in.

Anyway, I've never lost a computer due to a virus while I know MANY people who have. Some several times. I love free stuff when it works!

Use updated version of Antivirus to keep you computer protected from virus.

  • get a free antivirus program like AVG and remove it. then find out what virus or viruses they are and try to avoid doing activities that lead to those infections. I suggest you then buy an internet security package which includes antivirus, firewall and antispyware protection

    Phew...great post.

Here is my two cents worth.

You can get Norton Internet Security 2010, 1PC (or current year) for about $20 on Ebay!

And this is a physical product, you may not get a box with it, but you will get a physical CD, product key, authentic note, etc.

I got it this way months ago, and wouldn't go near a download or very expensive Norton product in a store again.

And l have run the two free one's mentioned before, Anti-virus, and spyware... they removed several viruses Norton couldn't get to and crippled a persistent Trojan, which is now manageble.

    Good luck.
