Hello,

any advice on how to flatten PDF?
I submitted my book covers (not ebook covers) to a print on demand service. But they do not accept them because of "unflattened transparencies" and "shadows". They gave me the advice to simply "flatten" it.

I googled the internet and found out that this could be done with InDesign or Acrobate, but I don´t have any of them. I use BookCoverPro to create my covers and it simply offers the option to safe as PDF (I can not choose any different kind of PDF) or Tiff.

Thanks for help

I think they mean to combine the layers so there is only one layer. I'm not familiar with the program you're using to create the graphics, but if it can create layers it should be able to combine (flatten) them.

If not, you could take a screen capture of the cover and save it that way. The screen capture will not be saved with layers.

Just when you think you've got it all figured out, someone changes the rules.

      Thanks,

I already tried twice to contact to the Support at BookCoverPro, so far no response.

I will try a screen capture, thanks for your advice.
