Can anyone explain the Google graphic for today, 12/23/2010. I think it must be some kind of celebration for my wedding anniversary, but I can't figure out what it is.

It seems like every section will go to a different SERP listing when you click on it. But I can't figure out the what it is supposed to be celebrating. And it is bugging me, so can someone help me?

Thanks in advance.

When you click on each picture, the link takes you to a different country. The picture itself is supposed to depict different types of holiday celebrations this time of year, whether it's Christmas or not. Some just go to a page like "Nepal" in Google and other ones go to "Indian dance styles."

Anyway, it seems like a celebration of international customs.

They're all representations of holidays and celebrations in December for various cultures.

All I've got is the word Google (no colors) not clickable.

Are you signed into a Gmail account with a graphic as your Google background? If so, you should see four bouncing balls in the top right corner of the Google logo.

I thought it was kind of neat, even if it didn't quite look like the Google holiday graphics we've come to love and expect.

I think its neat... but kinda a little awkward at first glance... It's always nice to find unexpected interaction in my web journeys...

Some of the little individual images (when you hover over them) are quite nice, but it looks a little too contemporary, to me. I'd have preferred a big, cosy image of dude in an old brown leather armchair, a bottle of Cognac wedged in his lap, smoking a pipe, with a little dog curled at his feet, in front of a roaring, open log fire ... or something.
