Hey guys...

I wanted to just say I'm very happy to be here and also wanted to say hello.

Plus, I have a question.

What would you consider a good Alexa traffic rank or US traffic rank to be for the average website?

I'm currently working towards hitting the top 30K US traffic zone (according to alexa), but I don't know what to expect. Is that even good with an average daily traffic hitting around 60+ people every day?

Anyhow, great to be here and looking forward to learning a great deal from you guys n gals!

Nice to meet you man! As far as your question I would say it doesn't matter too much about your alexa rank, much more about your actual traffic stats. Unless your planning on selling the site someday. I generally look if a site is in the top 10k US to judge credibility. Again though without knowing what kind of site, how long it's been around or what your goals are it's kind or a hard question to answer.

      Hello
      Welcome to the community!

60 people a day of a wqualtiy traffic sounds very good. 60 people of untargeted traffic doesnt worth much..

      IMHO

Thanks guys for all the replies and extremely quick response.

    Q1.
60 visitors how many optin's or sales do you get from that?
Currently, I'm only converting to leads. Sales are not on list of priorities on the face of things (unfortunately). I mostly offer via email after they become a lead.

    Q2.
how long it's been around or what your goals are it's kind or a hard question to answer
I've been tracking it since October 5th but i'd say it has been around for a couple months prior to it. So roughly maybe 6 months.

Q3. (Not really a question just a concern)
60 people of untargeted traffic doesnt worth much
I target primarily a specific niche of home based business entrepreneurs. Now I know that I should have started with a site name in reference to the niche, but I didn't know at the beginning of this thing.

Anyhow, I've placed some of the basics I know regarding SEO into it and have had moderate results. Now, my concern is traffic to convert to leads and so on.

I guess the real question should be, should I start a whole other site specific to the niche?

Welcome to the forum! It's really hard to say in advance what kind of traffic statistics you'll experience when you increase your traffic, and personally I'd be more concerned about getting targeted traffic rather than just shooting for high numbers.

With traffic, quality over quantity reigns. What niche does your website cover?

Hey Paul, thanks for the response.

Well the traffic is mostly from the niche a cater 2. So most of the traffic comes from that specific niche.

The niche specifically is the home based business arena. The MLM type of business model. Somewhat including affiliate direct sales-ish as well.

Most of the content is SEO based rather than How To information at this point. My main focus has been to increase visibility.

What I'm struggling with right now is weither or not to continue with the efforts as I've been doing. Because to be honest, I'm not sure if even 60+ people a day is even good at all.

With an optin rate under 5%, is it even worth it?

I'm almost certain that your opt-in rate is the issue here. As you've mentioned above, the content on your site is mainly SEO based rather than relevant, helpful material, and this is probably what's causing your opt-in rate to be so low. It doesn't sound like you're delivering much value to your site visitors.

You have to focus on site conversion, and make it both attractive and a no-brainer for your site visitors to opt in. It appears that your site's not doing the job.

With something like MLM, you probably want it to be some sort of blog which delivers valuable content on a consistent basis, and have some great report or video to give away in exchange for an opt-in (think Daegan Smith).

In my opinion, you should focus more on your site conversion than traffic - there's no reason why a well-designed squeeze/opt-in page shouldn't get at least a 10-20% opt-in rate.

    Hey Paul,

Thanks again! Yep... I agree totally!

I guess that could or should be a major focus on mine ATM.

Side note: I hope you don't mind that I send a request via Skype to connect.

Anyhow, I have some rather unique capture pages that I do use. But I mostly link to them via the article or blog posting (kinda ninja style).

    Anyhow, thanks for the feedback!
