What will you watch the Super Bowl for?

Well, the big game (and the pizza, hot wings, Cokes, and potato chips) is next Sunday. However, one of the reasons why the Super Bowl is so popular is because there are people that watch it for one reason or another. Not to mention that it is absolutely free. So with that being said, what will you watch Super Bowl XLV for?

For me, it is the game itself. I love football, though admittedly I follow college more than pro. I will be enjoying the pizza that comes with it along with my brother and a friend of mine.

As much as I love football, if neither team interests me I won't watch. I don't watch football just because it's football. I watch to route for a team and cheer. If none of the teams fit that category, the TV will be off.

Complete opposite from me. I do watch just because it is football. To me, being a fan of a certain team means you miss out on a TON of other good football out there simply because you don't care about any team other than yours. Plus it gets very monotonous to see those same players on your team time after time again.

Granted that in college, there ARE teams that I couldn't care less about. With that being said, I really only watch the games that matter most in college. But in the pros, all thirty-two teams have SOMETHING to offer.

In other words - I don't root for a certain team. I want to see a good competitive game. Rooting for a certain team, to me, means that if your team wins, all the money you spent to see that team win (if any) would be worth it. Complete opposite if they lose. But not rooting for a team and wanting to see a good and competitive game (not a one sided blowout (70-3 anyone?), shootout (all offense by both teams), or defensive struggle (super low scoring game)) - no loss on my part.

      But yeah, that's me.

I watch it for the game.

Do I enjoy some of the commercials? Of course, but that's not why I watch.

In fact, those who say they watch just for the commercials tend to drive me nuts.

    Just sayin'

    All the best,

Watching sports on TV is about as boring as it gets. I'll catch any interesting plays, commercials, or halftime acts later on the web.

Well... my patriots are out so I'm not happy about the teams. I hate the packers... steelers used to be one of my favorite teams, even if they weren't I'd still watch the game. The commercials are always a plus. Alcohol, gambling, sports, good food, awesome commercials, what can beat that?

As a American football man, I watch the game to see who will be standing after a grueling 20 week battle for world champs.

I am watching it for the game and want to see the Steelers absolutely obliterate Green Bay! I like GB, but I LOVE the Steelers and I think if they play and hit like they did last Sunday, GB doesn't have a snowballs chance in H***!

      LOL

I'm just the opposite. I love the Packers, but the Steelers have always been my 2nd favorite team.

I'm hoping for an exciting game, and I think it will be. Either way, may the best team win.

I would watch a couple of 6 year olds play a game of HORSE if it were in front of me. I love competition and I love Football. So, it matters not to me who is playing, I will watch. It would be so much better if MY team were playing...

Anyways, go Packers. Ben the rapist only exists as he does because the Steelers have a nasty defense. Aaron Rodgers will pick that **** apart on Sunday to the tune of 3 TD passes and 320 yards passing.

Halftime only - if I like the artist. Otherwise, I'll enjoy the food but skip the game.

The commercials. My wife is in the work pool but I don't really care about
the money. I mean it's only 80 bucks if she wins.

There's about a dozen or more GB players that could be stand-ins.

LOL! There are about 9 or 10 GB players originally from California and at least 5 others injured by other means. What else can they do? Smart money is on the Steelers.

Thankfully, with YouTube and other sites, it's no longer necessary to watch the game at all. You can watch all the good stuff--the commercials--on the Internet later.

Usually for the commercials. This year I just happen to want the Steelers to win because I don't like Greenbay... They usually have a great Star Spangled Banner performance, and the half time show can be interesting too.

Short answer though is the commercials.
