Yes. I definitely paid more than that, but I'm not complaining. I like it a lot. It's a very nifty desktop app for wordpress blogs.

What can I do with this app that makes my life easier and that I cannot do with other cheaper apps like this?

The key word is "easier" rather than unique. It is an all-in-one-place program. If you don't have a lot of Wordpress or Blogger blogs, you probably don't need it. One free app called Blogdesk can suit modest needs and does a little of what Bloghatter does, that is enabling the user to send formatted posts to wordpress blogs via desktop. Blogdesk even allows for the direct importation of images from your computer and sends them out to a wordpress image file, which Bloghatterpro also offers. Bloghatterpro can also imports image from Internet links. Sending formatted messages to a wordpress blog can also be done by email. It is not new to be able to do that.

What bloghatterpro plus its plugins (which work in conjunction with the desktop app) offers a user is convenience.

A Brief (and Incomplete Overview) of What Bloghatterpro offers the user:

-- Adding blogs to Bloghatterpro is simple with its user-friendly interface.
-- easily import lots of articles from computer harddrives, and choose which categories you want to post them to on your blog. You can add tags to articles if you so desire.
-- easily edit imported messages with WYSIWYG or code form.
-- functionality to shuffle articles and specify a time range for posting them, such as 2-5 articles every 3-6 days, or whatever. That way, it doesn't conspicuously publish articles in alphabetical order at the same time every day.
-- Image Search. Functionality to scan the internet for relevant title, keyword. or tag-related images from public domain sources, image sharing sites, etc.
-- Search Videos. It includes the ability to search the Internet for relevant Youtube videos (but I wish it wasn't limited to Youtube)
-- Article Spinning. It allows you to spin articles in conjunction with a third-party app -- TheBestSpinner article spinner (if you happen to have an account with it)
