What's the story with G's ads on YouTube videos? When a site owner with an ad$sens account pastes a youtube embed code on a site, do they get a cut of any revenue generated from it?

If you're asking about the Youtube/Adsense revenue program, Youtube will contact you and give you the option of splitting the Adsense on one of your popular videos.

You can also sign up to be a Youtube partner and have all the videos on your channel get Adsense if they approve you.

Youtube will place your code on the videos - I'm guessing they do their part of the time, and yours the other part.

Rikki_Fawkes pretty much summed it up

I'd just like to ad: (a lesson learned)

Make sure your video is 100% copyright free before you summit it to youtube for approval. If there's any copyright infringement (even only 5 seconds), they'll disapprove and "Yank" your video.

Oh yeah. You have to clarify to that you own everything umpteen times before they'll quit hassling you about it. I've even gone so far as putting "It's ALL MINE!" in the description box when they asked for more info (as if saying "I own everything in this video" wasn't enough the first time).
