Looking for Background Music?

Hello Fellow Warriors,

I'm glad to have found this forum. I am beginning to create and record royalty free music to be used with IM videos. I'm curious as to what you good people are looking for in quality music loops and background music. I'm finding that a lot of RFM is very short, 20-30 seconds. Would anyone be interested in longer tunes, melodies...say 2 or 3 minute loops? Looking forward to your input!

    I use a lot of 25 to 35 second tracks. If you can loop them, all the better.

    What is really needed is music that has a broader license than most outfits allow. They seem to want to cover every possible instance of being able to sue you if they choose.

    So music than can be licensed for products that are created and sold where the license gets passed to the buyer for the purpose of rebranding the product for their purposes.

    By that I mean they are not buying the product the music is used in to resell, they are buying the product as the end user.

    Currently, there are a lot of folks making and selling videos where the music used is in posssible violation of the license. It's not a big deal at the volumes sold, but it still would be nice to have music where a pass-through license is specifically called out.

    If someone was to create catalogs of original music that was directed at the pass-through market as opposed to just selling music for singular commercial products I bet they would have a steady stream of orders rolling in.
