Hey all, we're moving into a new home soon and it's time to get a new TV for the living room. I don't know anything about TVs other than it needs to be crystal clear and HD.

I've looked on Amazon a little for TVs and it seems that a 60 inch Samsung is pretty good. But then I came across some 82 inch tv and it sounded really nice.

Anyway, I figured there has to be some electronics nuts in the warrior forum that could give me some good suggestions/recommendations :-)

Thanks a lot for your help!

Keep in mind the size of the room as well. My son has a 60" in a large room and it's perfect.

He thought the huge screen would be too much like sitting in the front row of a movie theater with no option to move farther back.

In the 82" size, the only ones I'm aware of are the Mitsu DLP tv's which for the money is an incredible bargain. But I have to say the Sony Magnolia line is incredible when calibrated correctly, you can def tell a difference on that tv when watching anything hd/br etc, but their largest is 55".

If it were me, I would purchase a projector and paint a wall. You can go as big as you want, plus, it's HD.We plan on doing this for the outside of our house in the summertime. Hang a sheet and have movie night outside with the good ol' popcorn
