I'm sure everybody and his brother is holding their breath just waiting to JV with someone named "m1522632" who hasn't contributed squat to this community but wants to reap the benefits right out of the gate.

    Just kidding.

Perhaps there's a threshold in place for a reason.

    Wonder what that would be...

hm... I just wanted to contribute to the forum...
maybe my post would be valuable for the members...
is it not value for the forum/community that the members can read about opportunities and find something new/useful??

Keep contributing and you'll be able to post there eventually.

I've been here over 5 years and have NEVER posted to the JV forum ONCE.

It is something you EARN. They don't just let every Tom, Dick and Harry post
there. You have to contribute and be here a while.

          Suggestion:

          1. Change your name to something that doesn't scream forum spammer.

          2. Contribute lots of valuable and HELPFUL info in general discussion. When
questions are asked, answer them if you can.

          3. Give until it hurts.

Then maybe in 6 months, somebody over in JV MIGHT take you seriously.

          I said might.

That ensures that the gene pool isn't full of people who believe they are entitled to come here and be given everything.

On a more serious note, getting a partner for sex is a lot like getting JV partners. First you have to earn their trust. You do that by giving something first.

Stick around, and give something of yourself to the forum, and people will see you as being trustworthy enough to do a JV with.

That doesn't mean that they'll want to have sex with you though.

That will will probably get you nominated for "Dumbest Post Of The Year".

Anyway, any potential JV partners you may have attracted, are going to see your posts and take notice of your sense of entitlement, and yes, arrogance. Good luck with attracting anyone to do business with you.

Sounds to me like you think this is the same place as the Main Forum, albeit a tad off topic. LMAO. Yeah - you're not the first one to make that mistake.

        Well, that possibility certainly exists.

The problem lies with those who have gone before you and messed it up for others.

Sometimes people get so enamored with whatever offer they are pushing they see no reason not to spam forums like this one to the detriment of the community here.

So steps have been taken to help alleviate the problem. That's a good thing.

How about this...if what you have to share is as valuable as you believe it to be, and there's no evidence to the contrary at this point, then perhaps it would be in your best interest to become part of the community here by making yourself known as someone of substance through your continued contributions here.

In other words, build up a reputation as many others here have done here who are trusted and whose contributions are appreciated.

Keep in mind this place gets hit by a lot of fly-by-nighters who are looking for a quick buck and don't care much about the community here so you will find rules in place that may seem arbitrary at first glance, but once you've been around here for a while you'll see the wisdom of their implication.

Besides, if what you have to share is evergreen you have time...

No If you tied buttered toast to the back of a cat and dropped it from a height, what would happen?

The cat would land on its feet as they can twist in mid-air to ensure they land feet down. Toast only has mythical power to land butter side down.

Let me explain something about the Warrior forum - it's something you will "get" once you read enough anyway -- but I'll give you the shortcut -

The Warriors isn't a message board. It's a very tight community. Those that figure out and adapt the community ethos (mindset) earn their place here. Those that don't ever "get it" usually just wander off eventually.

Around here you have to EARN trust. It takes some time. Some features are cut off completely to new members because every now and again we get waves of "get rich quick at any cost" types in here that scam, cheat, etc and generally just plain pollute the community. We don't like that type. So there are posting requirements set to give people time to prove that they are really Warrior Material.

These may be a pain in the butt for newbies -- but it keeps the community clean of parasites and keeps the Warrior name one of quality and comradery, a place where people work and play together instead of existing as just one more IM meat market.

If you take your time and earn you're place, doors will open. So just access the features that you can, make friends, give value (and feel free to take some as well). As pointed out in other posts, you aren't really set right here with no name and few posts that anyone here is gong to be open to a JV anyway. Nobody knows you.

If you are seriously here to build a solid future you'll stick around -- if all you wanted was some quick business...well, you hit the wrong place for that.

As Steven said, as with learning the guitar or anything else worthwhile... you have to give until it hurts , then keep giving, until it hurts some more... Paul might even give you the ole proverbial "white glove" to the face every now and then...., and you have to say Yes Sir".

And it may take months... or maybe years to be noticed in a community this large... then one day the tide comes back in from your seed planting, usually in an enlightening moment of epiphany... (mine was witnessing a stretch of dialogue between Honorable Mr. Waggenhiem and CDarklock), and suddenly you are like "Hey! I know my place", and you stand in it... for me it has been 10 years... worth it?

Well lets just say the fact that it was 10 years made it 10 times MORE worth it, because now I beam with pride to be a Warrior!
