Do you ever think about the number of times you hear or read a particular phrase? If you search Google for "Warrior Forum" "no brainer", you will get 61,400 results!

How many time did you write this in a thread?

I use that phrase a lot in my ad copy, too. It's a no-brainer. :rolleyes:

Seriously, though, I think marketers use it because it's effective. No one wants to be thought of as stupid, so...

Maybe the dumbest thing is believing that you don't know everything! I mean I have seen "info" in like 5 different areas where they try to make it sound like you are stupid if you don't buy. I buy it, and find it is ******NOTHING NEW******! If you knew EVERYTHING you would likely be smart, and ****NOT**** buy the product.

In the END, the AUTHOR looks pretty stupid, even if he or she got some money.

I'm a little embarrassed to admit it, but I'm afraid I do; yes: I have an extravagant enthusiasm for noticing such turns of phrase.

  Well, it has been two years now and the count has gone up to 76,200 returns from Google for the phrase.
  
  How cliche! (In case you wonder, 40,200,000 returns for "how cliche" warrior forum)
  
  Maybe, we all oughta try to come up with more grown-up language skills?
  
  Food for thought! (only 21,000 returns) I guess that is progress.

  Not nearly as often as it used to be: many people these days use the term "noob" (sometimes even spelled as "n00b"!) instead.
  
  The one that amuses me most is "doop".
  
  That one's a misspelling of "dupe", apparently an abbreviation of "duplicate content" sometimes used by people with - typically - a rather flawed (though they probably spell it "floored" or even "fl00red") understanding of what duplicate content actually is.
  
  I've even once seen "de-doop", the intended usage - I think - being that of a transitive verb: "to remove the duplicate content from something".
