Anything on internet, especially on social networking is open to all. We are becoming preys of hackers. We are all watched by someone or the other. Many spyware gets installed in our system without our knowledge. Beware of everything and be careful while sharing any personal information online.

I know a woman here who carries paranoid to the nth degree. She got on this topic of "being watched" one day and there was no stopped her.

Her prediction was that in the next generation it will be so bad that "people will be watching you sleep" - guess that is a reincarnation of watching paint dry?

Anyone bothering to watch me every day is in for a very boring time of it.

I can tell you that, before Twitter, and Facebook, and iPhones, and even before the Internet itself ever went mainstream, and people became very willing to pour out every detail of their lives into the ether for the consumption of all and sundry, "they" were quite capable of finding out pretty much everything "they" might ever want to know about you anyway... the biggest difficulty was sorting out the masses of incredibly UNinteresting stuff from the teeny-tiny bit that "they" were actually looking for (i.e. the stuff needed before kicking your front door down in the middle of the night).

Modern technologies simply make things much easier for "them" to do what it is that they do, in the same way it has made it easier for you to do the things that you do.

So everyone is happy.

remember we live in an erre where verything is electronic. So we leave a trac with a credit cards, cell phone, even the onstar and toll passes in the vehicles. It is much easier now to track people down then 20 years ago. Unless your going to live in the desert in a wood cabin and a fireplace sending an eagle to fetch your mail your pretty much having to give in to the day to day changes of society and the eye in the sky knowing your every move, purchase and sunday drives.
