We searched online for a long time and finally after testing sytems for scripts like kijiji and buy/sell use (be careful lots of useless clones around) we decided on geodesic solutions.

You can grab a simple classifieds script for less than 300.00 bucks BUT we have the Classifieds & Auction script combined (just under 700.00) with weekend special code.

They have outstanding 24/7 Monday to Friday support, and if you want to get a two week trial you can do that automatically OR you can send them a email and request a 'external trial' (you upload everything to your own server) from the support center.

We love the script so much we just launched our Canadian version and also will be purchasing another licence for our USA version soon too.

We customized it to our own specs too which anyone with a keyboard knowledge can do too - all one needs to study is the user manual - a lack many other fly by 'nightmares' have.

NEVER buy a script unless it has a manual and you can read it first!

appthemes.com has the best classifieds theme - classipress, it's about $100 - it's got tons of features and a bunch of different colours to choose from. I use it and it works like a charm.

1. You could create a site with the script I used to create this site, which allows for changing categories (which I haven't developed):

2. There are any number possible ways of doing so with the Joomla! content management system, maybe using the SobiPro extension, or one of these extensions:
