Facebook Help Please...

Over the past few days, my Facebook reading has been totally spoiled by dozens and dozens of entries telling me that so and so is now friends with so and so and so and so has been wished happy birthday by so and so.

It never used to be this way. Now all the interesting, useful posts are being swamped in dozens, once even a hundred of these notifications that are of no interest to anyone except their owner.

Why has this change suddenly come about?

I've checked my set up but can't see any way to filter this junk out.

Help...:confused:

    Use the GreaseMonkey extension FB Purity on Firefox. It will filter out all the junk.

        Never heard of GreaseMonkey, but you can filter out the junk by selecting only newsfeeds or friends comments

    If you haven't already, at the top where it says Top news · News Feed · Most recent, under most recent there is a drop down arrow. There I believe you can filter out what to see. I found that it's better to group people (friends, family, group etc) Easier to contact and filter out the ones you don't need to see. Or just hide the ones you don't care to read about.
