Thought this was kinda funny.

In the midst of some keyword research I stumbled upon the keyword...

How to become a vampire

Exact match, 14,800 searches per month global, 9,000 searches per month local.

Crazy huh? Almost 15,000 people a month wondering how to become a vampire....

Weird niches out there guys...

I think it's normal amongst teenagers searching for these kind of things, too many fantasy movies around.

I wonder how many searches have Harry Potter related keywords "how to become a wizard", "where is Hogwarts".

Damn, teens really have a lot of time to waste nowadays!

Haha, they were only mere examples. I could think of others keywords, far worse.

  • I'm a member at 43things, and there are TONS of people there that apparently think it's possible to be a vampire and/or to learn to turn yourself into a wolf. Obviously, a good part of the population doesn't realize the difference between reality and the 'Twilight' movies.

Even on the news I saw a video of some kid being bullied at school by a gang of kids that think they are werewolves, and apparently this is becoming a bit of a phenomenon.

Pathetic, is the only word I can think of to describe it.

I think it's kinda cute, to be honest. It's not pathetic at all. If it weren't for people using their imaginations like that we wouldn't have writers like J.K. Rowling, Stephen King, Tom Clancy... [insert your favorite author here]. We wouldn't have screenwriters or graphic artists and special effects people to turn a make-believe story into reality. People who use their imaginations and don't limit themselves make BANK. What did YOU want to be when you were a kid? I wanted to know how to become a vampire. And an astronaut. And a painter. And a doctor. And I wanted to fly. And 1,000 other things. It's that closed-minded mindset that discourages people from becoming successful on this forum. Don't knock a niche just cause it's not for you....it's a goldmine for someone else.

Well, the OLD theory was that they would drin you of NEARLY all blood, and some references were made to kind of regurgitating some of the blood.

ANYWAY, you CAN'T trust google here!

      1. Search terms are CHANGED, so query records are MESSED UP!

MAN, when I see how some of my queries are changed sometimes! MAN! That drop down garbage that google has is sometimes WAY off, and updates the main box as you type.

      2. People have different ways to search for things!

They may be looking for an article that may have the words "how to be a vampire"

      3. WHAT is a vampire?

Is it like the REAL VLAD? Is it history ABOUT VLAD? It is the mythical version? Is it dressing for holloween? Is it a book? Is it simply someone that likes drinking blood? Is t sapping someone/something of something OTHER than blood?
