Talk about Spinning!
Do you ever do a little research to see if the truth has anything to do what you just read online?
A few days ago bloggers were going wild with reports of 2 women in Brooklyn who "got a ticket for eating donuts in a public city park". The bloggers were wild - how could NY let this happen....abuse of power...blahdeblahblah.
This one is an excellent example of taking a current story and running with it - no matter what the facts are. Yes, two women got ticketed - and yes, at the tme they were eating donuts.
However, they were in the children's playground area of the public park where signs clearly state "adults may not enter this area unless accompanying a child". Donuts didn't have anything to do with it. Adults without children are prohibited by an ordinance passed to protect kids from predators.
The same people outraged over this "travesty" and "police arrogance" would be singing a different tune had a child been kidnapped from that same playground by an adult allowed to wander in without question.
This story is one of the best examples I've seen recently of the brainless "anything for attention" bloggers who will say and do anything for page 1 exposure.
