I really hope that the Vancouver Canucks don't go through yet another one-sided slaughter by Boston Bruins tonight.

I like to juxtapose touchy feely sharing of feelings with meat-headed sentiments.

Tbird, I don't follow hockey anymore. But I take it you guy's won tonight?

Did I read right that there is one more game you have to win?

    I'll root for Vancouver, love the place...but I won't bet on them...so they'll win...lol

Yeah, we won. It was a hard fought win of 1-0. Not a landslide win like the previous two Bruins victories, but very satisfying nonetheless (:. I still hear sporadic honking of horns and cheers outside.

Thanks for your support. When were you in Vancouver?

(I did bet for them in the last game, hence a partial explanation for my great interest in it)

Yea I assumed that from your "ye$" expression earlier.

I was in Vancouver on the USS Ranger...had to be about 83 82..somewhere in there. On a Halloween weekend, couldn't pay for a drink...locals were very cool.

There are only two places that made me go wow pulling into a bay, one was Hong Kong and the other was Vancouver. Now that IS a bay.

Makes San Diego bay look sorry by comparison. Subic Bay was/is big but Vancouver bay is huge and pretty awesome

Vancouver was something else in the 80s. It has undergone radical transformations since then. To begin, there aren't strip clubs every second block any more, maybe just one or two, I'm not sure, that somehow survived aggressive legislation and/or HA and suchlike gang shootings. Coal Harbor beside Stanley Park didn't exist back then. Now it is a mass of ritzy condos that'll someday be the poster child for the real estate bubble.
