What's all this talk about a new Ice age? I thought global warming was the problem.

Maybe if we pumped a load of Co2 into the atmosphere to trap in the heat. We could call it The Global Warming Campaign.

It should have never been called Global Warming in the first place.

Climate Change is a much better term to describe the phenomenon as it can bring the heat or the cold and intensify tornadoes and hurricanes.

I believe human activities have a lot to do with it.

Yes - human activities are the cause. We're causing desertification at an alarming rate. That doesn't mean it's any hotter - however desertificated areas do scorch fast during hot seasons. We've cut too many trees and it's having a drying effect. The glaciers aren't actually in trouble for the most part. India was furious over the scam (mistake, according to the IPCC) that the Himalayas are melting. The scientists up there AT the glacier said it's not a fact. A few glaciers are disappearing - but it's not heat, it's dry. The forests at the base have been cut so there's not enough moisture to replenish snow.

As far as CO2, they know now that it always follows a warming trend and it protects plants from getting baked during warm periods - no CO2 and they die.

Actually evaporated water is much more potent a greenhouse gas than C02 - and it's coming down in torrents this last year so the air is letting go of it. The tip of the planet is changing and the sun isn't doing what they expected. They thought that sun cycle 24 was going to be a real strong one and so far it's not. So it's getting cooler.

They also thought that it takes around a thousand years for an ice age to develop. Now they know it can be as quick as a decade. We've been having increasingly cold weather for 3 winters now except for a few localized areas. Gonna be interesting to see what goes on.
