Need some directions!

Hi all! I'm pretty new here but I'm already enjoying talking to the regular guys here, especially in the programming forums.

One reason for me to join this forum was to recruit people for a beta testing of my upcoming SEO tool (domain name research related). Of course the main reason was the passion for SEO and all stuff related to Internet Marketing!

So, yesterday I created a new thread asking for people to join the beta program. I didn't try to advertise or sell the program and I told that all beta testers will get a free lifetime license to the program when it's published. I now know that my mistake was to post a Youtube video showing a sneak-peek to the program, it kinda was advertising...

The thread was obviously deleted but now I'd like to know where I could safely tell about the program and recruit testers? It's pretty big and I certainly can't test it all by myself because I'm limited to two computers and one OS.

If it's not possible to post stuff like that anywhere in the forums, then fine. I'm not here to spam

    I'm not 100% sure, but I think that what you are trying to do could be posted in the Classifieds section. Perhaps someone more knowledgeable will come along and point you in the right direction.

    Have you contacted the Help Desk? The link is at the top of each forum in the red bar at the top of the page. It's good that you are being honest about your intentions - I'm sure if there is a place on the forum for your post you will find it by asking these types of questions.

    I did recently ask the help desk about where to find people to give review copies to and such. They said either the classifieds section or post the WSO up and ask for reviews. Since you are looking for beta testers, the classifieds section is probably your best bet.

    Your signature is also a good bet.
