It's really only the pinky finger and the other one next to it and that side of the hand and up the arm. Anybody know what would cause this?
I'ts not a heart attack for this has been happening for a few days

Thanks

The last place I would come for health advice is the Off-Topic Forum... the best advice you're likely to get here is which brand of whiskey is the best cure.

Steve... take Ken's first suggestion to heart. This is the OT forum... the Bar, the Asylum, the Basement, the place the 'special people' hang out...

Don't take his suggestion of which brand of whiskey is the best cure, because he is dead wrong. Everyone knows that any type of Rum is the best cure. Pffft... whiskey... what an amateur...

Or better yet, give your left hand a break and try using your right hand.

Sorry Sorry, I'm cracking myself up here... I couldn't resist... all in good fun brother Steve.

Take your choice and it's not complete 'cause I'm not a doctor.

Vitamin B12 deficiency, musculoskeletal causes, thyroid dysfunction electrolyte, malnutrition, hormonal imbalances, neurological problems,
    diabetes, Stroke - heart problems.

Last time something like that happened to me it was because I slept on it wrong --- and White Russians were the cause, not the cure so you might wanna stick to rum as Jared has suggested.

Go to the hospital right now. This is EXACTLY how my stroke "happened".

I woke up one day and a few of my fingers on my left hand were "asleep"...Over the next 2-3 days, it got to the point where my left hand was almost totally paralyzed. If I didn't "type" for a living, I may not have even noticed, but I was losing my ability to type.

Don't fool yourself that because it's been a couple of days it isn't a stroke or heart attack. It took me three days to decide I better get to the hospital. I never even had a head ache while having a stroke, and I had a 3/4 inch "bleeder" as the Dr. called it, which is pretty big.

sjkstone - TAKE KURT'S ADVICE - and, whatever else you have planned - DO IT NOW!!!!

Numbness as you have described it is very typical of the effects of a small stroke or an indication that one is due! This type of sympton should never, ever be ignored! It isn't only painful things that can kill you!
