Well after all the things that happened in 2008 ( breaking my back and ending up with a DVT in my left leg ) I found out on December 30 that I have Celiac Disease. I can no longer eat anything that contains Glutens. This is a life changing thing for me and my family. I can deal with this as I have with the other things but the hard thing to deal with is the fact that this disease is Genetic and there is a possibility that my children may also have it. I don't post often but,I do like to follow what other people other are saying. There is a multitude of information on the internet and also support groups of people with this disease but I still feel like I am in limbo.
Most of the food is pretty bad so far and is two to three times the cost of regular food. I am in construction so eating lunch out was an every day thing. Now I have to pack my lunch everyday for the rest of my life. Boy the looks I get when I enter a restaurant carrying my lunch box with my co-workers really makes me feel like the odd man out. I guess what I'm asking is this is there anyone else in this forum that has this misfortune and how are you dealing with it?
If this bums you out I appoligize.
Thanks; Gary
