I seen this video a few days ago and actually cried during the segment about pigs:

Meat.org: The Web Site the Meat Industry Doesn't Want You to See

I forced just about everyone in my family to watch it, and most of the guys rolled their eyes at my plan to go vegan (I'm known as the hippie).

I'm the world's biggest pepperoni pizza fan, so before I seen this video veganism sounded like an impossibility, but I've had a bunch of vegan meals/snacks since then and they're not that bad.

If you hate factory farming as much as I do but can't quit animal products, you might be interested in knowing that Wolfgang Puck is going (mostly) cruelty free and that there are "happy animal farms" like this one:
Caw Caw Creek Pastured Pork
  • Whoooahhh...It is so much. The way they care and treat the animals is so cruel. But anyways, thanks for sharing this one. This site revealed the animal farming ways which is so cruel.Hope, this one would be stop.

I can't watch it. I've seen these videos before - and frankly, if I could do so without suffering prison I would kill someone for treating a life form like that.

It is partly our own faults. I know people that can't eat unless they have meat on their plates. 3 times a day. I don't even wanna imagine what the inside of their bodies look like. If people would even just slow down on meat eating, these farms wouldn't exist. When life has to be mass produced to that level to feed people there is something extremely wrong with both our diets and our morals. I don't suggest going vagen if it isn't in you - but slowing down to eating meat even only every other day would relieve much suffering, the animals and our own.

Yeah, I was one of those people... I felt like I was missing out on protein if there was no meat around, but I have recently learned otherwise.

Here's another site that may be of interest to people who want to eat certified humane animal products (which I hear taste better and are a little better for your health):
