Yes mate, you read me well
I have to quit!

Not Quitting WF
Not Quitting IM
But quitting some crazy crappy list

I have been on some lists and what I get everyday is one offer or the other. This really sucks that most of these list owners only think about money. Every mail sent out carries a link to some crappy ebook that asks for your paypal or credit card. No good contents at all.

If you have a list and all you do is send out sales letters everyday, be sure to be loosing your subscribers by the day.

Couldn't agree with you more - I never send out more than 2 emails a week, and never 2 sales pitches in a row...

I don't blame you, Quit that Subscription...

Thats a quite a good strategy.. 2 emails a week with useful info would help the subscribers to stay hot.

One of the best things you can do is to 'Unsubscribe' from
all marketers and businesses that do not add value to your
    life.

It also free's up your time from having to sift through crap!

Blasting people with offers is out dated and those 'Guru's' are finding
    that it no longer works.

IM is now evolving. If you do not add value and just send offers,
you are going to lose your customer base.

This is a great move. I've been part of only a few lists (notably Rob Benwell's list, never bought his stuff, but I tried to affiliate his ebooks for a little while) and every email was about selling me something.

HOWEVER, there was one good thing I got out of it. He has some good email titles that always perked my interest. Even if I didn't really the email, I was interested enough to give thought to it for a few seconds.

Almost every day I unsubscribe to two or three lists. Most of the others I don't even read. Not sure how I got signed up to so many as I have not bought that many products as i don't have that kind of money. I think they must be selling my email to each other because I get them from names I don't recognize.

I try to make a point of unsubscribing to two or three each day so they don't get too out of control. But I seldom read any of them unless the subject catches my eye or something. Most of them are just, hey so and so has a great WSO you need to check out and an affiliate link. These seem to come daily from some members. I got to say, it does get old.

I think it's funny how you buy some e-course here and the person who sold it to you tells you how you need to take massive action and all that fun stuff and how you need to unsuscribe from all the "other gurus'" mailing list and stay focused, and as you are taking action, you begin getting emails from said person about this WSO of the day, or that dimesale that's on right now, or this upcoming webinar (which 9 out of 10 times is a sales pitch) etc.

Wow, that was one long sentence! =p

Good for you!! Tell it like it is! List owners should at least give some tips or valuable information before throwing down the sales letter. Constant sales letters only bring UBER FAIL! Cheers!

If someone shares good and informative contents.. i like to be in mailing list until i am getting something to learn. But if someone is continuously trying to sale something instead of giving value to subscribers i quit as joe said.

The ones that really fry my butt are the marketers who say something in the subject line like

    PayPal payment sent.

I go in and delete my mailing permission right away. Thos Jack Asses! :>)

Yeah, your right and I think the better way to do is to fold themselves into three then wait if someone else picks them. Problem solved, they're gone definitely. =D

I have been unsubsribing from crappy list after crappy list as of late. Some of them are not honoring the "unsubscribe". I am not one to just hit the "SPAM" button on most IM'ers, but if they don't honor it, SPAM button it is!

I downloaded a free product almost a week ago. I started getting emails before I even had a chance to look at the product. I started getting several so just unsubscribed - funny.

Today I just unsubscribed again. What's up with that? I have no clue - but whoever owns the list can stop now. Once I read the product, if I like it I'll watch out to see what else you're doing. If I get another email though - especially before tomorrow when I will actually get to sit and read the product, you won't ever get a sale from me. If your unsubscribe button actually worked this time and I find that i got a great product, you might deal with me again.
