At first I thought, "what a silly idea"...

until I saw the mapping aspect of being able to see a 360 shot from the apex quickly and easily - Google maps would be loving it...

If you could imagine tossing this ball up inside the Sistine Chapel, or something similar, and getting a panorama that you can navigate thru without all that tedious setup...

It could actually have some cool practical application, if the definition is not compromised by the movement.

Kind of like Google maps for indoors...how's that for invasive?
You could zoom down to a building - then actually go inside and look around...

now... if you could get 360 video?

I wonder what it would be like if you put the ball it a fixed (or slow moving) position and had it rapid fire...the effect would be like a 360 video - if the processor can keep up...?
