What do you do when it's late at night, you're addicted to the computer, but you're too tired to work efficiently on a project?

Ohhh, I see. I always wondered about that. Married people should be in bed early. Not hanging out on the idiot screen all night like me.

I try to make notes of what needs to be done the next day. After that, I usually surf cnn, Digg, Reddit, forums, dumb stuff like that. I have two babies and a wife, so thankfully for family life, I'm not on the computer for hours on end. ... I need to get sleep too. I am usually asleep in about five minutes. I guess insomnia has never been a problem for me.

Why do men never have trouble sleeping? I don't know a single man with insomnia.

Hubby has it. He can sometimes go for days without sleeping.

Luckily, he hasn't had days like that for a while now. (I wear him out. :rolleyes

I made a rule years ago, when you are tired turn off and and leave it alone. I mod in a large SEO forum, and one day we had one hell of a thread going, I could not get it out of my head, so I turned off, then made the classic mistake - I drank some wine, had a nice meal, had some more wine, then my wife said 'Where are you off to'.

Next morning I awoke and the first thing I said was 'Shit!!! - Did I really post that!!' I had

Wine and keyboards do NOT mix. They should come with a Breathalyzer.

I've made the same mistake. Said something I shouldn't have because I was tired and cranky. Thank goodness for the edit button. It has been a lifesaver for me.

I know how hard it is - I'm here, too. LOL. You have to get a hold of it or you're going to burn. What good is it sitting here once you become tired enough to be dysfunctional? It's not much different than drugs, Christie -- get a hold of it.

          Hey Sal,
That's the problem. I haven't learned my lesson. I'm actually recuperating from a disabling mental and physical burn out. Keep talkin to me. It's starting to sink in.

That drive to get it done, finished and put to bed....then you can go to bed too. But, when the brains are overloaded, fatigued quality goes down the toilet.

I take a hot cup of herbs, and go to bed. Cannabis helps too with the valarian root and lavander/mugwort on the pillow....sweet dreams!

That's what they call... Twitter time! LOL.

My brain function peaks at night. It's earlier in the evening when I'm inefficient and spend too much time on WF or Twitter or unfocused. But, later when I should be tired, my brain is fully operational!
