Golfers usually learn their golf swing in one of two ways - either by trial and error, or by having lessons. The failings of the first approach are obvious, although there is a tendency for many to opt for this approach on the basis that they have learned to play other sports in this way. However, golf is such a difficult game to master that the only satisfactory route to success is through lessons.
  • I have seen people play this game for 50 years, and still can't hit the ball worth a damn.

    (or putt for that matter...)

It must be for the fresh air...

Though I'm not a bad player, I have been playing since I was 5, and have always considered golf a recreation rather than a sport - even in competition.

Now, if golfers were hitting balls at each OTHER - that would be more sporting!

As long as I get ONE good shot, it makes my 99 other strokes worth it!

I am a by trial and error kinda guy, with a little kentucky windage! (Aim left if I am hooking right).

( I like the thread start to promote his sig lines :-D go go go forum marketing! )
